awesome awesome awesome

Ok it's not my fault that I haven't been blogging. My internet connection at home has been reeeally slow, reeeally lousy. So. Let's talk about the weekend first k? 'Cos throughout the whole of last week, the weekend was the BEST.

Friday was cell. After school, I rushed to Karawara to buy food and drinks for cell then rush back home so that I could watch 2 episodes of Full House. BUT. On the way back, it started raining. Don't you think the light rain in Perth is light rain. What looks like light rain IS NOT light rain at all. The water droplets may be small BUT they drop a lot at one go. So in less than 3 minutes, I was drenched from head to toe. NO, it wasn't those kind of rain that's really heavy and painful. It's those kind of rain where you can't hear anything on your roof at all. So different from Singapore.

When I got back home, I hurried through my shower (I had to shower ok after being drenched from head to toe) and hurried through the packing of stuffs. Then I finally relaxed and started watching Full House again. In between the two episodes, I changed my clothes. I mean, I was drenched from head to toe so my clothes would've been wet too, right? My clothes only took one hour to dry under the heater, though. Or maybe even less.

Garry came at 7.05pm. I got out of the house at 7.10pm. Sorry Garry! Then after Garry drove for like 5 minutes, I realised I forgot about the food and drinks. Stupid silly me! Argh! Called Faith and she said it's ok, she'll buy something. Garry also picked Crystal and his friend Michael up. Reached Stanley's house just in time to see Faith and Wei Xian walking in with food.

We had our usual round of introduction, and games! Sarah did games. Memory game. The girls won! 9-5 I think. Wait no more than that haha. But it was fun. Garry and Stanley were really funny. Crystal joined us for games ad worship then went off. Stanley did worship. Garry shared. We had sushi, cookies and marshmallow for dinner. Oh man, I'd better bring the food this Friday for cell.

After cell, Garry sent me to Dorcas' house first. He then went to send some ECU people home. Then came back again to send me home. Could tell he was really tired. Although he kep asking me if...I was okay. YES I AM. I mean, ok, maybe not, but I'll be fine.

Saturday was RIVER CRUISE DAY!!!!!!!!!! Kevin picked Nic and I up from our house. He drove all the way to Trinity College where the UWA bus was. I don't know why he went there la 'cos he could drive Nic and I to the jetty. But in the end, there were to little people sitting the bus so Nic, Eunice and I had to sit the bus together with the rest.

There were HELL lots of PEOPLE at the JETTY. Like wow. As in, WOW. WOOOOOW. I hung around with Wei Xian and his friends all the while. From at the roadside, to boarding the boat, to the seatings.

River cruise, was FUN. F-U-N, FUN. They first had a play. Lead actor - Alphonsus. He had his whole head painted like a soccer ball. Ook I meant the scalp area. Joker sia. Soccer boy haha. The play was good. Really. It was hell funny. After the play at the first deck, they had Wheel of Soccer at the second deck. It wasn't say very good, though. Maybe it's fun to participate in and not just watch. Or maybe, I just had too many things in mind.

The food was not bad too. More of like snacks. Had honey-coated cornflakes, muffins and so on! Overall, river cruise was a SUCCESS. More than just success man. Awesome. Oh ya, saw Felix and Asher too.

Once the boat reached the jetty, Nic, Eunice and I rushed off the boat. We waited for Kevin then all four of us started running to his car. Nic went, "where's your car???" Kevin said, "over here only over here only!!!" Eunice said, "his over here sure very far one." Indeed, Eunice was right. We ran for quite some distance before we reached Kevin's car. Then, Kevin ZOOMED all four of us off to Curtin uni for service!!!!!

Once we reached Curtin, we immediately went to change. Mavis was saying things like "don't be stressed", "you'll be under another leader but it'll be alright" while adjusting my collar. And Eunice said she sounded as if she's a mother talking to her daughter. Ha! Darryl was leading. We had a really really short debrief. Jazper and I were doing door!

Service started not too long after briefing. Jazper and I stood at the door near the coffee table and gave out the bulletins. Was really fun. Imagine yourself smiling, shaking people's hands and giving out bulletins. Nothing beats serving God, I tell you. Serious. Ushering has been a really good experience. And will still be.

I also did offerings. Although I only took two bags, I had to control 6 rows. Wasn't too difficult, though. Although my heels nearly got stuck (phew). There were two rounds of offerings. OH YA, Curtin's lecture theatre is like so different la! Bigger and nicer! But then again, UWA's lecture theatre ain't that bad either. =)

Ed Sivolso was really good. REEEALLY good. Interesting talk. He was a real funny guy. Didn't manage to take down any notes. SIGH. The new songs for worship was AWESOME. TOTALLY.

After service, we had debrief. That's when all the ushers from Curtin and UWA come together again. Ok not all but most of 'em. Curtin's ushering team's so different. All adults! But it's a good thing; we get to learn new things. After debrief, I cleared the lecture theatre. So many people left behind the bulletins la! Waste paper only.

Dinner was at China Dragon. Sat with Jazper, John, a couple, Edison and Junie. Our food was not bad. Came fast enough. Oh oh! We even had a complimentary bowl of soup! After dinner, we all went Tea Fusion. Again, there wasn't enough workers. Lol. But I still got my taro smoothie with oreo and rainbow jelly. Superb.

Garry sent me and Nic home. WOOHOO Saturday has been a really great day man! By far the best!!!

Sunday. Went for service again. Why? Because Mark Anderson's speaking! I woke up early and got ready early. Nic and I were supposed to leave the house at 9.30 for the 9.45 bus. BUT at 9.50, Nic told me to go myself because he has transport. We left the house together, which was when I realised Garry's car had THREE spaces. I asked Garry if he has space for me and he said he was supposed to pick Nic AND I. Ting and Garry asked me what happened then I told them then they started accusing Nic for not being a man and stuff =D. =P

We reached Curtin in time. Saw Junie and Jazper. Nic, Jazper, Junie and I went into the same lecture theater (as yesterday) together. When worship started, I jumped my two days' worth of jumping man! Terrific. Really terrific. Dance dance dance!!! Whooo!

The Zion news was the same as yesterday, same chairperson and same songs. BUT, still splendid. Mark Anderson was awesome too. He wanted to demonstrate what stronghold PHYSICALLY meant. So, he hugged Genesis really hard. It was really really funny because Genesis tried to break free. And while he was struggling, he tried tickling Mark Anderson but he couldn't even reach Mark Anderson's waist. Ha!

After service, we had lunch at Taurus. We as in the UWA people who went for sunday service. I had beef hor fun. BY FAR THE BEST BEEF HOR FUN I EVER HAD IN PERTH. I couldn't finish, though. Francis helped me a little. Heh. Then...Garry sent Francis, Nic and I back.

Rest of the day? Watch Full House. By at night, I finished watching Full House. Ha! I had my best weekend in Perth!

School started last Tuesday. Nothing much. Played badminton everyday. Thursday, after school, May, Nic and I went to Kevin's house because Nic had to practice for worship. Edwin came too. Then...yesterday and today nothing much la. Ryan, Nic and Shawn played soccer at vickery house. And Ryan accidentally kicked the ball at my legs. PAIN CAN!!!!! Then the big Raymond and I played mini soccer in Vickery house's common room for a while. That's all!

I'M SO LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS WEEKEND AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!
