ONCE UPON A TIME...

Nah I'm not telling a fairy tale here. It just goes to show how long I've not blogged properly =P. HOKAYE let's not waste time! Hahaha. Two Wednesdays ago (17/12), Mummy and I went Parkway for dinner and Christmas shopping. Dinner was at Parkway's Treats Foodcourt.

I had curry chicken set with bread! The curry was not bad but hmmm. A little too much water? I also personally prefer my curry with more coconut milk.

We did quite a bit of shopping. That's also when I got my Chaucer stuffed teddy bear from Mummy =D.

Next, FRIDAY(19/12)! Was watching The Nutcracker by Singapore Dance Theatre with Mummy that night. Before that we had Din Tai Fung for dinner at Raffle's City.
YUUUM. Century eggs are HELL EXPENSIVE in Perth. I used to hate them when I was younger. Somehow I grew to like them as I grew older.

Prawn pancake I think. Mummy seems to really love this dish haha I have to admit it was not bad. Crispy on the outside and spongey on the inside. At least they were not stingy on the amount of prawns. A bit too oily though > <.

DAN DAN MIAN!!!!! Aaah, no chilli oil. The dan dan mian I had in Shanghai was INFUSED with chilli oil. Nearly sent Nancy and I both burning in flames. This one had peanut sauce! Shiok! Oh but I miss those handmade noodles. Siiiigh.

WOOHOO!!!!! XIAO LONG BAO!!! If you're asking why am I not sick of them, it's because I've only eaten them twice in Shanghai and they were not as good as Din Tai Fung's! Really! I don't know how they did it but THE SKIN IS SO PERFECTLY THIN!

YAM PASTE XIAO LONG BAO! OMGOSH OMGOSH OMGOSH I MISSED THIS SO MUCH EVEN THOUGH I WAS ONLY AWAY FOR LIKE 9 DAYS AS COMPARED TO 9 CRAZY MONTS!!! The yam paste filling was sooo fragrant and the best thing is it wasn't to sweet!

I enjoyed the ballet performance to the max. The props were really stunning and the choreography! Although they have limited numbers of ballerinas, they still managed to present the ballet piece so grandly. AND THE KIDS! Oooooh I loved those rats =P.

Next was Terence's Christmas party. It was already 11 plus by the time I got there. At least I was there for the caroling =D.

I was damn super tired by the time I got home. Like, now. Hah. I'm still freaking busy. Need to catch up on sweet sleep!

*SNIFF*

My nose feels...weird. Itchy might be the appropriate word. Was at Vivocity this evening (parents' 30th wedding anniversary, will blog about it another time) and it was FREAKING COLD! And the outside was FREAKING HOT. What the heck man.

Anyways, was out with Nancy yesterday =D. After a disappointing wait at ComfortDelgro Driving Centre (needed to book a date for my basic theory test to convert my Australian license but it took 1 hour for 10 numbers to be called and I was still 30 numbers away), I went over to Nancy's house at about 1++pm. We wanted to eat at Summer Frost but GUESS WHAT!

It was closed. =_=

So we walked over to Parkway and had our lunch at the basement food court.I HAD BAN MIAN! It's been sooooo long! But bad news. It's quality dropped. There was inconsistency in the noodles. Some parts were al dente, some parts were over-cooked. Everything else remained the same which is good!

Heckle Hutajaya (Nancy) had duck rice hahaha it was not bad but the chilli...tasted weird =S.

After lunch, Nancy went to check out some spectacles, I changed some Aussie Dollars to Singapore Dollars and I bought bubble tea and OFF WE WENT! To Bedok North =). We had a haircut appointment.

I got a trim and highlights (PURPLE AGAIN!!!). Nancy had a trim. The aunty was really really good. She refused to let me have the length of fringe I want 'cos she said that length will make me look fat. I always want my fringe shot 'cos my hair grow FREAKING FAST. But ya, I'd rather look nice teehee.

The purple this time's better too. The purple I had in Perth was a tad maroon-y. This one's BRIGHT. So bright that when Nancy and I had dessert at the hawker centre beside Bedok Bus Interchange, I had quite a few people staring at my hair. Felt kinda....weird.

I had sea coconut nata (???) and Nancy had grass jelly with longans.

Hawkers are so "innovative" now they kinda loose a bit of traditional touch. What I remember of sea coconut JELLY (wtheck, nata de coco?) was those brown things on top of a bed of ice, on top of a layer of brown-coloured clear jelly. This one was just those brown things and nata de coco on top of a bed of ice. It was still good la, just a bit sweet.

I'M GOING OUT WITH NANCY AGAIN TOMORROW! Lol. Gonna visit Ah Neo. A colleague from my first proper job (you don't wanna know what my first stupid job was; it's family related; father's side). And then movie...AND FOOD! SHIOK!

Ok! Till then!

SLEEPSWEETSLEEP

What does it feel like to be able to automatically wake up at 7am, realising you can still go back to sleep, then again at 9.15am, and AGAIN at 10.30am? Good. I could sleep up to noon, in fact, 'cos I'm supposed to meet Baby in school at 1.30pm. Obviously I couldn't go on sleeping any further at 10.30am. What's even funnier was I thought it was 11.30am until I got out of my room and saw the clock in my living room screaming (with its hour and minute hands) 10.30am.

If only school can be like this everyday hey. But I'd prefer a super early lesson and the rest of the day nothing. Which is what happens on Mondays and Fridays for me. Ok, don't kill me. Be nice!

Update on car. The "arrival date" has been delayed. My dealer called my place this morning to say it'll only come on Tuesday but Mummy was telling him how it's impossible for me to go down with her on Tuesday to get the car 'cos I practically have classes the whole day on Tuesday. Hence, the dealer tried negotiating with I-dunno-who and called back saying we can pick it up on Monday after 1pm. WOOHOO! Time to get some driving done. Hopefully I'm still ok with it heh. Been almost 4 months since I last drove.
