another long weekend post

I'm happy. Very very happy. Because I bought presents. Presents for Daddy, Mummy, Huan Yuet, Christine and Albert. I'm more of a giver than a receiver. Of course, I love presents. I do. I LOVE to receive presents. But...I realised I find more joy in GIVING presents.

When I went back to Singapore during the winter break, I saw joy in the faces of my relatives when I gave out presents. They were happy. Very happy. And that melted me. Not just my heart but every part of me. Mummy was proud of the Mothers' Day present I bought her. She placed it on the piano and refused to keep it. Daddy was proud of the Fathers' Day present I bought him. He wore the boxers immediately the next day. I love giving presents. I do.

Mmm. Ok let's start from Thursday. Didn't do much in school. I actually attended all the lessons from 8.45 am till 5 pm. I DO have a break between 10.30am and 1.15pm but normally by the end of the day, I'd be too shagged for my last lesson. But I had no choice. I skipped two lessons within two days. So I had to attend all lessons throughout the remaining week.

So anyways, after school, at 5pm, I tried calling Shelina to ask her where is Garry picking her up from. She didn't pick up my call. I tried calling Jay but he didn't pick up either. At that very moment, Helena was about to take bus home from Curtin bus stop. So I decided to let Garry pick me up from my house since he said anything and I don't know where's better. I took bus 34 home, re-packed my bag for cell and waited till 6.15pm.

At 6.15, I left the house just when Nic came back. I then realised Nic was going to take Garry's car down to Stanley's house too for worship practice. So Garry drove Nic, Jay, Shelina and I down to Nedlands. On the way, Garry also picked Kenneth up. So the car was fully packed.

When we reached, only Faith, Wei Xian and Stanley were there. Then Sarah came. Then they told me not to wait for Jay because he was going to be late. So I started the game. As usual, Garry lost. Ha! He very poor thing leh. Always kena sabo-ed by us. Then always lose. Oh ya, Jay arrived in the middle of the game. He didn't play but I think he should've gotten a jist of the game.

Garry led worship. Stanley did words. Stanley was talking about...the past. About how our past is like a burden and stuff. It...reminded me of my past. Some of you might know...I didn't have a very nice childhood nor a very nice early teenage years. So I was thinking about what happened to me in the past. I was STILL concentrating to Stanley but...ya. I still got a little distracted too.

Refreshments. Faith only had muffins. Jay didn't bring any refreshments. So I accompanied Jay to Broadway. He bought some Turkish bread thingy. I thought it'd be quite big. But when we opened it when we got back to Stanley's house, it turned out to be pretty small. I only had one piece. So did some of the rest I think. There were two muffins left, one for Jay and one for me. But when someone opened the box, Nic snatched the strawberry muffin. I took the butter muffin and Jay didn't get to eat any.

So Stanley decided to cook instant noodles for us because most of us weren't full at all. At first I didn't want any but when I saw the boys eating, I got hungry and decided to have one bowl too. Wasn't too bad. Maybe I should have added cheese like what Wei Xian did to his. Oh wells. When I finished my instant noodles, Jay sent Kenneth, Faith and I home.

Faith didn't go home straight. She went to my house first and waited for Lawrence Yee to pick her up and send her home. We thought Lawrence wouldn't take that long so we decided to wait outside. In the end, Lawrence took quite some time to reach my house. But at least, Faith and I spent some quality time together.

Faith and I talked about our past. Our family. Our time spent here in Perth. Ok, yes, I know Faith has been here for two years plus but at least she taught me the moral of her story: study hard and don't waste our parents' money. It's hell true. I didn't need to get a discipline from my parents to realise that. I was spending a wee bit too much when I first came here. By April, I decided to stop. Which was why last Sunday I spent so much. At least I don't splurge as often as back then.

Thanks, Faith. You made me realise lotsa things. =)

So after Lawrence came, I went back in. Next day...school.

Friday...in school...nothing much la. ELACS and accounting. After school, went home. Jay picked me upa t around 4pm. We were going to city to get my iPod Nano. We were supposed to meet Wei Xian in the city at 4pm but Jay was late so Wei Xian had to wait. Jay first went to hand in his assignment at UWA then parked his car in CPP in city centre.

We met Wei Xian outside Myers. He apparently walked 12km from his house to city. Madness can. So we went to the Apple shop in Carillon city and got my iPod Nano. The Nano itself cost A$359. The tubes (skins) cost A$48. Total: A$407. Still within my limit. Heng. Then Jay went to the loo. Wei Xian and I walked around the Korean shop opposite the Apple shop. Got really interested in the Garfield clock they sell but...I doubt it's silent sweep. =\ Then three of us started walking around the city.

Jay did most of the shopping. Ha! Surprised huh. We walked along Plaza Arcade and went into this shop that sells Japanese stuffs. Saw a Doraemon alarm clock. Reminded me of the Doraemon alarm clock Mummy gave me when I was young. The alarm tone was the Doraemon song. It was...really cute. And was a really good alarm clock. Mummy won it in a lucky draw held by her Sin Sin Food back then. And I loved it a lot until...it dropped on the floor one day and was spoilt. The Doraemon alarm clock I saw in the shop was smaller. And the alarm tone was different. And it wasn't from Mummy. So...I didn't buy it. But there were a lot of other Doraemon stuffs there too! NOW I know where to get presents for my Grandma.

Thinking about it...I'm starting to like Doraemon too. Garfield's still my all time favourite. But because of Grandma's joke when I was young...Grandma started liking Doraemon for real. And maybe because Grandma likes Doraemon, I'm starting to like Doraemon as well.

ANYWAYS. We walked around a lot. We went to this basement cd shop. Went to Border's. Went to a sports shoes shop. THAT was when I saw a really REALLY nice pink Adidas flipflops. If I didn't have TWO pairs of flipflops, I would've already gotten that pair of Adidas flipflops. Not because I don't want too many flipflops. But because I don't want to waste my parents' money! So if anyone wants to buy them for me, do consider ^^. But I got this feeling I'll get it one day la. *shrugs*.

After Jay's endless shopping, we FINALLY left city centre. There was a jam in the carpark. Jay said Young Joe's will definitely be crowded. So we decided to go Tiamos.

Jay got a parking just outside Tiamos. When we went in...I think there wasn't any seats. But the waiters sacrificed one of the reserved tables for us. Thanks dude! =) Jay ordered Cabonara I ordered Beef Pesto and Wei Xian ordered...I don't know what it's called. Heh. But Jay's was the best. Then Wei Xian's. Mine was the lousiest. I MEAN...mine WAS good. But nothing compared to the usual Cabonara I love. Sigh.

All three of us got really bloated by the end of it. Jay sent Wei Xian home. Me? Go Jay's house to drink again! Haha. I paid for the drinks this time. Beer. Little Creature I think. Not too bad. Nice after taste; taste of lychee. But things became worse after finishing just one bottle of beer. I crashed.

Can say...FINALLY bah. I've been tired since the day I came back from Singapore (24th July). Haven't been having enough rest. Running here and there, thinking of so many things. Had lotsa sleepless nights. So I FINALLY crashed after beeing so tired for so long.

I was like dozing off when Jay and I watched tv. He told me to sleep on the couch and that he'll wake me up when he's going to send me home. It was about 10 plus when I fell asleep. He woke me up at around 11.30pm and sent me home. I was like half asleep half awake in the car. Lol.

Once I reached home, I slept immediately. Couldn't bother showering. Heh.

SATURDAY. Woke up at 10. Thought I'd have a lot of time to spare. But by the time I showered, prepared myself, did my laundry, I was running late already. I remembered the bus timetable saying the bus would reach the bus stop at 11.55am. I was meeting Eunice at Curtin bus stop at 12pm. I reached my bus stop at 11.54am but the bus didn't come. At around 12.05, I realised something wasn't too right so I checked the stand for the timing. It said the bus comes at 11.49am. I was like...WHAT?!?!?!?!?! So I had to wait for the 12.17pm bus. Sian.

So I continued waiting at the bus stop. Was messaging Eunice to kill my boredom. Nathan also came to take bus 34 at the same bus stop. He said he was going to Vickery House to meet people. When the bus finally came, Eunice called to tell me Edwin's coming to pick me up from the bus stop. Phew. Thanks Edwin! =)

So Edwin came. His car had new toys. Now, there are toys hanging on the handles above the window. I peifu him can. Madness man. Lol. Jon Chia was also in the car. Eunice and I decided to have our light lunch in City before meeting Faith at Koorong. So Jon asked Edwin to drop us at some street and we walked to Trinity Arcade.

Eunice is not the accident-prone girl anymore. Or rather, she's not the only one. When I pushed open Edwin's car door, it swing-ed (or swung or swang or whatever) back and I got my head knocked. Like OW. It was pain ok! The soft toys served no purpose!!!!! %&*$@&^#(!*%

But ya. Eunice and I walked down Trinity Arcade. We saw this shop that does the skin thing for handphones, iPods and other electronic gadgets. The skin thing is supposed to be waterproof (I think) and scratch free for...three years? Should be three years. They had it in Singapore for quite some time and it's quite new here.

I bought sushi and Eunice had Subway. I also had a cup of banana smoothie while Eunice had a cup of mango smoothie. When we finished, Faith said she was going to reach in 10 minutes. So Eunice and I decided to start walking towards the train station. But before that, Eunice went to ka chiao Letitia at her workplace (the shop beside Jester's in Carillon City).

So Eunice and I sat down at platform 9. The train left when we sat down. Only about 3 minutes later we saw Faith hurrying along. We read through the Koorong brochures. And I thought I wouldn't get any presents from Koorong except for the bible for Samantha (my 10 year old cousin).

Three of us took the train down to Mount Lawley. Walked to Koorong. The walk was TORTUROUS. It was drizzling. Three of us where long pants. Eunice wore WHITE long pants. Faith wore a WHITE hoodie. And me? My favourite pink hoodie. The road was pretty uneven so there were puddles of rain water here and there. The walk felt like ages.

When we FINALLY reached Koorong, I started browsing through the kids bible section. There were quite a few selections but there wasn't the totally pink one I saw at ZPH's ReZource booth. However I saw this pink one with a flower on the cover. It looked sweet to me. So I decided to get that for Samantha. Then I continued walking around. Didn't see any nicer bibles. Went to the gift section and all the Fathers' Day gifts had sayings related to Christianity. So I walked round and round and saw this small little thing that says "Hugs for Mums". It's a packet of 40 cards. On each card, there's a short sentence. The short sentences are sweet things that describe a Mum. I decided to get that for Mummy's birthday. Then I saw a small packet that says "The Best Friend" or something. Took three. One for Huan Yuet, one for Christine and one for Albert. I walked around further and saw a book "Hugs for Friends". There were two left. Took those two. One for Huan Yuet and one for Christine. At least these two girls, who are more special than Albert (sorry boss!), get something extra. =) Then I finally decided to get a bottle and a bookmark for Daddy. True, there are verses from the bible on these the bottle and the bookmark but...hey! I must learn to be fishers of men! Daddy can be a christian too! Then I walked another round and got a book "A Mother's Love is Precious". THAT was when I decided not to walk around any further and go do my payments.

Total of A$100++. At least, I've done all my present shoppings. And I can ease my mind. Faith and Eunice also got things from Koorong. After we made our payments, we walked to East Perth train station and took a train back to city centre.

Why? Because both of them are hungry and Faith wants to see the skin thing I was talking about just now and Faith needed to get something done and I wanted another cup of smoothie. So I went to get my smoothie, Eunice accompanied Faith to see the skin thing and do what she needed to do. Then we walked to Macs/Hungry Jacks. Faith bought from Macs. Eunice bought from HJ. Then we took 102 down to UWA.

We were late for EduCell but there wasn't anyone teaching in EduCell. By the time I reached UWA, I crashed again. I was ok throughout the whole day and BAM I crashed again. I sat in the classroom for EduCell, along with some other church people. Some came and go. At 4.20, we left the classroom and went for service. I sat with Faith and Dominic. Eunice got dragged to a seat further front. Faith and I didn't have the energy to jump during worship. Pastor Joyce did sermon. My bulletin didn't have the sermon notes so Faith gave me hers since she was writing the notes in her notebook.

At the end of the service, I went out to stand alone. I was thinking of what Pastor Joyce said about her student. Her student, Claire (made up name)...is having cervix cancer. Her mother is very sick. Her sister died of cancer and she needs to take care of her sister's 3 year old son. Reminded me of my greatgrandma...who's suffering from cancer and kidney failure. So the whole time I was feeling really down. Many people walked pass me and asked why I was standing alone. I just smiled as shrugged. Only Bijia stopped and talke to me (after she went to pee, that is). Told her about my greatgrandma and...cried. Kevin saw and he did stupid things to make me laugh again. That idiot. Lol.

We had dinner at Singapore Chinatown. Jay sent Keni, Annsley, Jason and I there. Keni can really socialise with anyone. He didn't even have to take seconds to open up. The moment he step foot in the car, he start crapping with Jason and Jay already. Siao one can. Lol.

At Singapore Chinatown, we ate the usual things. Tie ban tofu, salted egg squid, sizzling beef and so on. After dinner we went to Tea Fusion. I claimed my free drink. Only sat for about 15 minutes that Jay had to go because he and Keni (?) had to attend a friend's birthday. I guess the world's indeed pretty small huh.

Went home, crash. Sleep.

Didn't do much on Sunday. Did quiet time three times. Watched finish Devil Beside You (planning to watch again soon). Hung my clothes. Went to jog. YES. I WENT TO JOG. It REALLY felt good running in winter. I NEVER felt tired! I just kept going and going and going and going. I walked along the Manning Road and started jogging when I turn into Waterford Ave. Ran along the small road that goes all the way to Wexford Court. Jogged a few more small circles here and there then walk back home. Felt good. Really good. I cooled down a little then went off to shower.

Also watched the second half of Snow Angel on youtube. They don't have the first half of Snow Angel! Boohoo! Anybody has the vcd of Snow Angel????? Lend me pls!!!!!

Afterall, did nothing much. Slept at 1.15am. School is boring still. There's applicable maths test tomorrow. KILL ME.
