COINCIDENCE? How is it that on 26/12/2004 it's the tsunami, 26/12/2006 it's the Taiwan earthquake and many decades ago 26/12 was Mao's birthday. I think Mao's birthday would've been the worst 26/12 ever haha.
Ok, cut the crap, I have A LOT to blog. We'll start from Wednesday! Met Eng Kwan at the Park Connector at 11 plus 'cos he wanted to pass me my present before he flew off to Vietnam.
What is this? This is a tiger. HAHA OMG it's so cute la! Wanted to use it to store my cosmetics buuut it's a tad too small =P. In the afternoon I met up with Steven 'cos he said he wanted to get me a present. Went to Tampinese Mall. Couldn't find any Garfield stuff so in the end he bought me a pair of ear rings from Perlini's Silver. The fun part only started in the night =). Went to Germaine's cafe. It was opened by Uncle Kheing Sin but Germain took over after much training. Half the family was there. Grandma, Aunt Siew Luan and Uncle Ming Guang, Aunt Siew Khim and Uncle Alan, Daddy and Mummy, Germaine, Jojo and I. When Daddy, Mummy and I just reached, Daddy was sooo hungry he asked for his food first lol. He had teriyaki beef with rice. Food was AWESOME. We shared a serving of soft shell crabs, a serving of calamari, TWO servings of tako balls and TWO servings of golden mussles (mussels coated with cheeeeese). Aunt Siew Khim and I each had a bowl of baked dori pasta in white cream sauce, Aunt Siew Luan had carbonara, Grandma had fish and chips, Mummy had this udon thingy, Uncle Ming Guang had some lamb ribs (his dish looked the BEST la) and Uncle Alan had...some udon thingy too lol. Daddy bought a cup of Blue Hawaiian too haha. Yep, it's alcoholic. And it's for me =D. When we finished our food, it started to drizzle so we went into the cafe to sit. We were eating in the open area before that. We sat around for a while and all of a sudden Germaine came out of the kitchen with a small little cake. The cake was tiramisu cake from Savoury Fare! The mango cake my parents bought was from Savoury Fare too haha. I think Savoury Fare has the freshest and nicest cakes ever!
1. Daddy, Mummy and I.
2. The Grandma I love so dearly =).
3. Half the family! LtoR: Uncle Ming Guang, Aunt Siew Khim, Grandma, Mummy, Daddy's blocked head, Me, Uncle Alan, Aunt Siew Luan, Germaine and Jojo. Had a few more presents. A pen from Aunty Siew Luan and some mini Garfield display toys. I was sooo darn happy x).
Stoned at home on Thursday. Friday? Went out with Marcus Teo. Was late though heh for 10 minutes. In other words, popcorn was on me. We watched Stranger Than Fiction. HELLVA GOOD MOVIE. Yes, it was my second time 'cos the first time I watched it I was so so so tired I fell asleep during the middle section. The climax part. After the movie I went home to get the list of things I need for baking. Yep, I'm baking on Sunday! A coconut cake for Mummy and a coffee cake for Daddy. Woot! Eunice is coming over to help too! Wahaha. I went to NTUC, Cold Storage AND Giant. Shopped for like...close to 3 hours?! Lol. And I was still short of three items. Msged Sherry and had to get her to help me get 'em.
SATURDAY. TODAY. Sherry was late! Haha I realised when she's early, I'm late. When I'm early, she's late. When I'm cold, she's got a jacket for herself. When I've got a jacket for myself, she's cold. We're so totally opposite la! Not to mention I love maths and hate science, she hates maths and loves science. HA. I went to get the tickets first to save some time. Tickets to Night at the Museum and Blood Diamond. Yes, yes, we watched Night at the Museum the second time. Toldya it's GOOD. I met Sherry at Cineleisure's entrance and went down to Cafe Cartel together.
I was sooo hungry that when they served us free bread for a starter, I immediately chomped down two slices. Sherry had one. The bread was GOOD oh-kaye! Haha.
I ordered mushroom and ham pasta. Sherry didn't know what to order so she asked what I also wanted to try. Forrest of mushrooms! Haha today was a mushroomy day!
Th pastas were GOOOOOD! Sherry even liked hers too! I finished mine man! Sherry couldn't finish her mushrooms lol and she still had to finish her cup of cappucino freeze.
I had my very awesome cup of ice cream. Forgotten the name but the number's 161! Haha. The ice cream is totally aaawesome man. From the top: biscuit, cherry, an oreo biscuit, whipped cream, cookies n cream ice cream, crushed oreo cookie, cookies n cream ice cream and another layer of crushed oreo cookie. I couldn't finish the last layer of crushed oreo cookie man! And we were running late already haha. NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM WAS STILL HELL GOOD AS EVER. I still laughed at my beloved Eastern Island Stonehead and Sherry still laughed at her beloved Jade Lion. After Night at the Museum, we slacked around a little, exchanged gifts, visited the washroom, and WENT IN FOR BLOOD DIAMOND. We also bought family combo popcorn haha. No ice lemon tea though =\. We both had a can sprite each instead. After the movie, I felt so guilty for every single piece of diamond jewellry I have. But I'm glad I bought none of them. They were all given. So it's not my fault! Haha. The movie was good man. Good good good! After the movies, we went home =). On the way to Somerset MRT, I saw Seah Jia Qing and his gf, Tiffany. Yep, the Project Superstar contestant number 2546, who's also from my secondary school and also my friend. In the MRT, I saw Chin Hock. On the way home along the Park Connector I bumped into Shannon. Wow eh. Saw so many people today haha. SHANNON! I still remember where you stay hor! =D Sherry's present for me:
HAHA I super loved the card! ESPECIALLY THE BALLERINA SHERRY DREW! AND THE GARFIELD! It goes as such:
"To De Xin,
Dear Girl!
Happy Belated Birthday! =) I almost had a seizure when I paid for this card, didn't realise it was so expensive. Lol. But I know it's what you want and I aim to please (especially on birthdays). I did not really want to get you anything on your wishlist because...somehow I think it wasn't REALLY what you wanted. Although my present may not be the best, I do hope you really like it. When we first met, I didn't really think we would hit it off - to be honest, I only sat with you because there were NO other seats left. Bad huh? :/ But somehow - we just sort of became friends. Not the I-love-you-you-love-me best pals - but the "I'll be there for you no matter what" kind. (Think amaths) :) Really much thanks to you for helping me in amaths. And all the fun late movie times, THANKS FOR THE WET FISH N CO! Memorable times. Hope we have somemore. I know we are still gonna be friends, 10, 20 years down the road. Just don't forget me when you've made more friends. I will think of you everytime I see {arrow points at Garfield} and Ballerina stuff. ^^ I promise a MUCH better present next time. xPROMISEx I'm really really (I mean it) gonna miss you a lot when you leave. You're my favorite girl of the month (December) and will always be. :) I hope you have a good time in university studying all the things I hate ( I {heart sign} science, hate math). It's gonna be real different but I will remain the same. Be smart, don't get bullied and remember, I'm always a phone call or email or msn away. I really appreciate you more than ever as a friend and love you lots. Hence, I enclose a pin. Good luck charm and defense against the bad guys. (You can poke 'em with the pin if they touch/bully you) The {red heart sign} brings luck in love, and I know you want that. =) Take care girl."
Aaaaaw hahaha and below the "And for THAT you want a PRESENT?" she wrote "(but of course I gave you something :))". She's so sweet right!!! And the Billy Elliot DVD! No wonder she was asking me the other day if I've watched that movie before haha. Yes I have but I'll still love the DVD! I don't have to watch it in CCHSM's library! HAHAHA! Oh and that lovely t-shirt. Pretty ironic huh. Billy Elliot DVD and Boys Can't Dance shirt. LOL. Sherry even left an Open Season postcard in the plastic bag.Let me also explain the WET FISH N CO. It was raining like m-a-d and the junction outside Fish n Co was partially FLOODED. So we stepped through the water when we walked to Fish n Co and stepped through the water AGAIn when we walked back to The Cathay from Fish n Co. TWO FEET WASHES! xD Sherry so loved the feet washes lol.Sherry you're my hero! You're the bestest of all bestest! I hope my card's not too empty though hehehe. And enjoy the 2046 DVD! You've got something to cancel out in your wishlist already. x) I went out again after I reached home to put down my stuff. Had to go NTUC to buy caramel syrup. On the way home I saw a big FAAAT cat haha. So reminded me of Garfield if not for the difference in colour.
I so enjoyed my day! And there's more tomorrow! Church service with Eunice (FINALLY), lunch out with the church people (which also includes Eunice), baking in the afternoon with Eunice and CG party with the church people at Mandarin Gardens! Oh sorry the cakes are for my parents. None for you readers! Heh sorry ar. Mummy's getting a coconut cake, Daddy's getting a coffee cake. There'll definitely be pictures, don't worry =).
Will he come to protect me when I need his protection?

BACK!
MONDAY. Which is today! My birthday! Haha nearly didn't wake up in time 'cos I forgot to set my alarm clock. Rushed here and there but I was still late meeting Sherry =P. Met her at The Cathay's box office. By then, she'd bought the tickets already. So we went to Fish n Co. Reached Fish n Co at around 1.35. Ordered. Food came at around 1.45.
The cake was AWESOME. New design too. What I liked most about the cake? The message =). "Happy Birthday De Xin" was nothing. Really. 'Cos the moment I opened the box, "From Daddy & Mummy" caught my eyes first. Almost teared =D. Strawberries were surprisingly sweet, mango cubes soured the hell out of my parents lol but the cake was AWESOME. 17 candles! THREE slices of cakes. I so love my parents. I really really do. x) Smuacks!
Aight here's the shout out. I want to thank Eng Kwan, Michael, Eunice, Fang Xiang, Jesslyn, Jeremy (the one with a yello Hyundai Getz in OZland lol), Jun Yu, Sherry, Jia Hao, Germaine, Marcus (the Mr. Rubbish!), Kenneth Fam, Steven, Christine, Brandon (from Perth one), Faith, May, Mr. Chester, Kevin (from Maris), Marcus Teo, Kenneth (from Perth), Min Ru, Eu Fei, Aunt Siew Luan and Uncle Ming Guang, Aunt Siew Keow, Aunt Siew Khim and Uncle Alan, Daddy and Mummy. Especially Sherry, Daddy and Mummy. Sherry for spending the whole day with me =D. Daddy and Mummy for everything since day one of my life x).
Eh if I you've wished me Happy Birthday and I missed out your name, I'm really sorry but I thank you too haha. Thanks a whole bunch to the people mentioned above again!
Sherry you really made my day. Really x). I hope you enjoyed it today!
PS. I read about Luke 2:8-20 four times over the past 3 days. Lol. First time was Luke 2:8-14 during my quiet time. Second time was verses 8-20 at Aunt Siew Keow's baptism. Third also verses 8-20 at CMC. Fourth time verses 15-20 during my quiet time.

Aight you guys have waited long and I'm back with a super long post again. Ready? Haha.
Let's start with...Saturday! I went out with Mummy. Was her model for her manicure class. She didn't do it too well because firstly she was still an amateur and secondly she was in a rush. She didn't paint my nails too well. She painted two layers already, teacher saw them, didn't like them, painted another layer on two nails so Mummy had to paint the third layer for the rest too. It was so thick it chipped the next day =_=.
Sunday. Spent the morning with Aunt Siew Keow, Uncle Andy and Samantha. It was Aunt Siew Keow's baptism. Met the family at the first bus stop along River Valley Road. Had breakfast (dumpling kuay teow soup) with them and walked over to Kay Poh Road Baptist Church. Aunt Siew Keow had a tiff with Uncle Andy, Uncle Andy went off wanting to skip Aunt Siew Keow's baptism, Aunt Siew Keow messaged Uncle Andy and he came back. There were a total of 10 candidates. The old man was the most touching one. He was almost disabled but he was persistant about getting baptised. I was close to tears =). The service passed rather slowly 'cos each english sentence/phrase was repeated in cantonese. Sermon was about Luke 2:8-20. Slept for a few minutes during the sermon =X. After the service, a friend of Aunt Siew Keow's pinched my cheeks and said I had a Superstar face (and I think she's m-a-d although I'm thankful for her compliments). Samantha followed one of Aunt Siew Keow's friend, Uncle Andy followed another, Aunt Siew Keow and I took a taxi. When we reached Aunt Siew Keow's condo, we went up to her unit first 'cos she had to keep some presents. When we went down, her friends were already at the club house. So were Aunt Siew Khim, Uncle Alan and Grandma. I was so glad Grandma was there =). Food was excellent. The amount I ate was equivalent to three meals lol. Totally bloated at the end of it. Played the gift game. Something like pass the parcel. A passage was read and each time "right" was mentioned, you'll have to pass the parcel to the right. Each time "left" was mentioned, you'll have to pass the parcel to the left. Everyone got presents at the end of the game. The people who got empty boxes got hampers instead lol. Aunt Siew Khim and Uncle Alan sent me home. Had fruits for dinner then went out again at night for countdown with Steven. We spent the night at Orchard Road. Packed like m-a-d. People spraying foam everywhere. There was carolling outside the building beside Paragon. After the countdown, Steven and I watched Stranger Than Fiction 'cos everywhere was so packed and there was no transport. Awesome movie. Was really funny lol. After the movie we hung around a little and then went home.
Monday. MEEEEERRY CHRISTMAS! Went for Christmas service at Christ Methodist Church (CMC). Sermon was on Luke 2:8-20 again LOL. Preached by Pastor Edmund, Steven's dad. After service, I hung around CMC a little more with Steven to wish people Merry Christmas. Then Steven walked me home. Was dead tired in the afternoon but didn't dare sleep 'cos I was afraid I wouldn't be able to wake up in time to cook. Daddy's friend came to our house for a while at around 1pm. Which was when he invited us to his gf's birthday party. Started cooking at around 3pm. Was ready by 4.30. Started eating at 5.
Cooked ham. Was a bit too much lol. Overall was ok. I actually washed up everything. But I forgot to wash up the oven =P. Mummy cut up the remaining untouched ham and brought it to the birthday party. At the birthday party, I saw Sebastian. Spent some time talking to him outside. Glad to see him again and to hear that he's doing fine =). When it was time for Daddy's friend's gf and niece to cut their birthday cakeSSS, Daddy's friend suddenly pulled me in. (In chinese)"I carried this girl since she was a baby! It's also her birthday but it's tomorrow!" Was totally surprised. Didn't expect that to happen AT ALL. Made a very simple wish haha. Had a slice of the chocolate cake. Then Daddy, Mummy and I went home. =) Didn't go to sleep immediately though. Waited till it was pass midnight haha. Quite a few people wished me Happy Birthday. Eng Kwan was the first on the actual day =D. Let's start with...Saturday! I went out with Mummy. Was her model for her manicure class. 1. The fried calamaris Sherry would always order when she goes to Fish n Co.
2. The super dead-ed lemon I squashed lol.
3. The awefully huge seafood platter.
4. The candid photo Sherry took of me and the seafood platter.
5&6. The chocolates Fish n Co gave after I payed the bill (one week allowance gone just like that haha). I was expecting the mint la! I gave the chocolates (two boxes) to Sherry 'cos I no longer eat chocolate. Or at least, seldom. We didn't manage to finish the seafood platter but we did a pretty good job 'cos only the grilled calamaris were left. THE FOOD WAS GOOOOOD AND SATISFYING. At 2.20, we rushed back to The Cathay and were 10 minutes late for the first movie, Flyboys. Excellent movie. Real life story. Much better than Flag of Our Fathers. Not to mention the lead actor (also acting as Spiderman's friend in Spiderman) was darn cute haha. After the movie, Sherry and I walked around. I bought a jacket from Adidas using my ang pau money =P.
The jacket was NOT cheap ok. S$129. But worth the buy 'cos the design's nice, it's a hoodie and it actually keeps me warm. We walked around a little more, I went to the toilet (the queue was hell long), we bought popcorn and drinks and went in for our SECOND movie, Night At The Museum. THAT MOVIE WAS HELL FUNNY. It was so good even Sherry didn't mind watching it again! Can you imagine? Sherry, the very strict movie critic, doesn't mind watching Night At The Museum again! What does that mean? IT MEANS YOU GUYS GOTTA WATCH IT. It's hellva good movie man! After that I took bus 14 home 'cos I had a surprise waiting for me back home =). At around 9.15, my parents and I took out THE CAKE.
I swear I look like I'm in my 20s in the photo Mummy took of me cutting my cake. Lol.2. The super dead-ed lemon I squashed lol.

GREATGRANDMA'S BIRTHDAY. Heh the last time I blogged, I forgot to upload pictures. =P But I only took three pictures at Eng Kwan's house.
Eng Kwan's dog, King!
The gift Mummy got from Aunt Siew Hua. I love the packaging man haha looks so super sweet =).
Uncle Andy almost couldn't recognise me. I haven't seen him in ages either 'cos he went India for work. I had TWO slices of cake. The durian cake was just too good to resist man. The durian cream puff was awesome too!

Eng Kwan's dog, King!
The guys playing Taboo before I became the judge. LtoR: Sean, Sing Chang (the ham guy lol), Jacob and Eng Kwan.
Yesterday night I was at Greatgrandma's house celebrating her birthday. God heard my prayers and answered them. x) Thank you, Lord. There were LOTS of good food from Uncle Kheing Sin's restaurant and the cafe Germaine took over. The food consist of sushis (omg I so loved the California soft shelled crab one), sashimi, and some seafood. I loved the cheese mussels the MOST. I ate till I felt more than just bloated!!! Everyone was there. Greatgrandma's three children, many many grandchildren and close to 10 greatgrandchildren. Let me count...There were a total of 36 people, including Greatgrandma and me. I didn't take any pictures of the food but I took lots of pictures while the cake was out!

Greatgrandma and her humongous cake =D
You can easily tell not everyone could fit into one photo =D.
Everyone busy dealing with the cake lol.
The very happy Greatgrandma =).
You probably can't see it properly from here but my eye bags were terribly terribly big/black/whateveryoucallit. Heh.
And Grandma says, "De Xin! You take what!" in chinese xD.
