SHANGHAI - DAY 3

DAY 3!!! Woke up about 10.30am, showered and everything, on our way to the train station, Nancy and I grabbed bubble tea. She also got some sausage skewers I think.Nancy couldn't finish hers so I told her to finish her drink and I'll finish the pearls for her haha!

Took the train to Shanghai Indoor Stadium to meet my neighbour (Gwen's mum)! We then cabbed down to Cheng Huang Miao (Cheng Huang Temple). In the cab!

NICE RIGHT! One thing about the Chinese culture is their buildings. SO MUCH DETAILS. Crazy architecture.

Lunched there! Check out the straw on the bun! That's tang bao! I loved the jian bao (fried bun, bottom right of the 1st pic). Xiao long bao (1st pic) and Shanghai nian gao (2nd pic) were average. The other two not mentioned were not bad!

After lunch, SHOPPING! Got keychains, notebooks and other cutesy stuff. Mostly stationeries.

I loved the lights =D.

We got tired so we stopped by KFC.EGG TARTS IN KFC?! OMGOSH!!! THEY WERE SUPER GOOD! THE SKIN!!! YUM TO THE MAX!!!!! Nancy had nuggets haha Aunty and I each had a cup of red tea.

After the rest, MORE SHOPPING!That, by the way, should be the actual temple itself. The temple is only one small building. Everything else are shops. We were not allowed to go in because "office hours" were over.

LIVE IN ACTION!

Aunty showed us the foodcourt. I tell you, it was a SCHEME to make people hungry only.SEE!!!

Out of that scheme, I decided to try...CHOU TOUFU! SMELLY FERMENTED TOUFU! It wasn't smelly leh. Or maybe this one just wasn't that strong. I loved it though!!! =D

More shopping along the roads on our way out..It was a damn long journey, by the way. Nancy managed to buy a shirt and a jacket on our way our LOL!

We took a double decker bus!Views from the top deck at the very front seats =D.

We got to Huai Hai Road. A bit...hungry. FOOD! We went to a noodle place!Check our tea! I thought it looked like xi yang vegetable soup =P but the tea was really refreshing.

TU DOU! Potato la haha. Grated potato. SHIOK!

Quan jia fu (family potrait haha!). There were duck, fish, luncheon meat, fish balls, meat balls, prawns (WHICH WERE DAMN SMALL BUT DAMN SWEET), cabbages and dong fen (glass noodles)!

Nancy's noodles. Don't know you cong or cong you. Haha.

My black pepper beef noodles. Aunty had some spicy sauce one. Forgot to take a picture haha.

Walked around a bit more after the meal. Bought a GARFIELD sweater and a GARFIELD shirt from H&M. Plus the set of rings, total was about RMB$400!!!!! Biggest damage at one go. X_X

Cathay! Shanghai version! Haha. Took a train back. Tiiired but satisfied!
