PHOTOGRAPHY.All these while I've never thought of myself as a professional photographer. Having a DSLR doesn't really make you a professional photographer. It only makes your pictures' quality better. You got to really understand photography inside out, know what angle to use and set the right settings for different lightings. There are probably even MORE things I don't know I need to know.I'm still not a professional photographer and there's no doubt to it but I never thought people can get very amazed at how much I know. All these while I thought I know too little (especially with Daddy saying my photos are o-k only and I don't know enough) until this funny person by the name of Kenneth Chang came along ooo-ing and aaa-ing when I told him pretty much the basics.I did exactly the same as what The Good Friend did. Explain the ISO, shutter speed and everything. I also explained the exposure, something Daddy thought me. Trust me, it's just the very basics. To be honest, I don't even like all my shots. Only once in a while I get shots I'm satisfied with.ANYWAYS haha my baby 400D has been home all these while because, you know, there hasn't been much special occassions for me to take pictures with my baby 400D. Minus, uh, the baking period. Heh. I didn't need to carry my baby 400D around too much to take shots of Mummy baking. But if I carried her out with me to meet Kenneth, my shoulders will definitely be screaming by now.I met Kenneth yesterday at Parkway. Walked all the way there! Was damn shiok, if you don't count the sweat in. We sat in the foodcourt for about 15 minutes when both of us didn't have any appetite for lunch. Then Kenneth mentioned the words "COFFEE" and "DOME" and I happily scooted over to Dome with him lol.He had flat white (I've found another fellow friend who gets damn happy to see flat whites served in Singapore) while I had iced cafe latte. We also shared a plate of risotto. Damn. Dis.a.ppoin.ting. The serving was SUPER SMALL! Not to mention it cost S$12! I can get a bigger serving and better quality from that stall at Takashimaya! Tsk.We spent a while in Dome chatting, which was when I started to explore his new Canon camera. His camera has 10x ZOOM! Not that I'm a big fan of zoom. But. STILL! 10 times!!!!! So not for a slow-speed-shutter fan here. Haha. But his camera's like the in between of my 400D and ixus50. Interesting! When we were about to leave Dome, there was this man screaming vulgarities just at the entrance of Borders. He screamed for at least a good one minute. Kenneth and I were HAPPILY blocked by the wall. Note the sacarsm. Lol but then again, it's not like I'm very eager to meet that guy either. Hah!We walked around Parkway for like. What? 2 hours? Or may be 3? I don't know! But it was damn long! Up and down and up again. Left to right to left again. All because it was pouring outside. When we had totally nothing to do and no where to go, I suggested ice cream at the gelato place behind coffee bean. I had green tea with red bean while he had hazelnut. I should try something different next time, hey. After walking around for a while more, the rain lightened into a drizzle. We decided to walk over to the dessert place near Popular. One reason. Just one. We both love yam paste. Realise I didn't add "ginko nuts"? 'Cos Kenneth doesn't like ginko nuts! I cannot believe it! Lol I used to dig Mummy's ginko nuts out and snatch them away for myself! Not forgetting Daddy's as well! The yam paste was daaaaamn shiok! All the while I had mine with coconut milk at that store and yesterday I finally decided not to add coconut milk and I did the right thing! The full blast of yam taste just totally blew me away. But before I blind myself with that, I have to say their yam paste (although really really good) ain't the best I've tried. Check out the critics later to find out =).After dessert we popped into the pet shop ('cos I got stuck at the guinea pigs and hamsters). A schnauzer puppy was walking around it's poop and smelling it. It was really cute with the "oh no I just did something wrong" look. But. Stop. Smelling your poop. Haha. Cute! The hamsters were quite...big. Could tell they weren't baby hamsters. There was one species with damn long fur. Aaaaargh they were damn cute! Piling on top of each other, kicking each other (even in the face) just to get into the best position for sleep, snatching cars/aeroplanes to sleep in. Oooooh and their sqweaks! Both of us walked home. Good to have someone who doesn't stay too far to walk back with me. It's not exactly very near either but at least, you know, he doesn't mind walking either. Haha!
Ok guess what. I met Kenneth again today! This time in Orchard la. I wasn't supposed to meet him actually. Was supposed to meet...another guy. But I obviously didn't, due to some personal reasons ^^.Met up with Kenneth again 'cos Kenneth wanted to look for CNY clothings. Not to say I'd gotten mine but I might as well just follow him and at the same time see if I can find anything I like. We wanted to watch movie as well but we didn't have enough time.It was raaaiiining and all so we stopped over at Gloria Jeans. Actually, I didn't expect it. I just wanted a drink and walk off but Kenneth decided to get a drink as well so we sat down! AND out came our cameras. He happily played with his zoom while I played with my macro.I showed him the dress I quite like(d) but it didn't come in my size. Their smallest sizest wasn't even anywhere near my size! Tsk! So we moved over to Wisma where Kenneth started bumping into sooooo many people! We walked around places like Top Shop, Top Man, and Kenneth decided to go French Connection. You know something! It was my first time in French Connection! I'm quite amazed, myself. Heh.So it was my first time in French Connection and almost immediately I saw the dress I wanted to get for CNY. Obviously I didn't have enough money to buy it so I decided to waite since Mummy wanted to shop with me that very day at night. As for Kenneth, I chose a top for him. He liked it as well but he didn't buy it. Eh. Why ar?Both of us decided what we were gonna get for CNY and we started walking around blindly again. Walked all the way to Wheelock, didn't go in, continued walking and ended up in Zara. I happily went to the wrong escalator (don't ask me why) and Kenneth called me a HAMSTER. Tsk. I don't do treadmills! I actually got a phoba of treadmills. Haha long story.Couldn't find nice white shoes although we saw nice SHINY black shoes. Kenneth had to go also anyways so we left Zara and I followed him blindly to his bus stop lol. Soon enough his bus came and I walked back to Wisma and waited for Mummy.Ended up meeting Mummy at Taka 'cos Mummy hadn't had dinner. EVERYWHERE was crowded so we ended up at Central Hong Kong Cafe. Not saying that place ain't crowded but aiya. The queue's not very horrendous.Mummy hadbeef hor fun in black bean sauce while I had
beef cheese baked rice. Ya, we're a family of beef lovers. Daddy loves beef too!I was quite fascinated at the bowls they used. Like mine came in a STEAMER thingy. Mummy's was normal la. But I saw someone's soup bowl with two dents for you to place your chopsticks. I don't know how to describe better but you should go check it out!I wasn't very satisfied with my baked rice but Mummy's beef hor fun was a BOMB. Before the Geylang beef hor fun place changed chef (and the standard dropped faster than gravity), it was better than this Central HK Cafe's beef hor fun. But given it's current situation, Central HK Cafe's beef hor fun is much better. After dinner Mummy and I walked back to Wisma to check out the dress I was eyeing on. I went to try it on and surprisingly Mummy just bought it for me! Like, no second thoughts or anything! Either 1) she's too desperate for me to get something for CNY or 2) it really looks nice on me. I think it's both. No, REALLY. Lol we went into other shops and she kept saying the one we bought was nicer!OHOH I forgot to add we went to Bossini and bought the shirt with ballet shoe prints. She also got herself a shirt, like totally same colour just different design and different prints. Yay! We shall wear them together!Ok back to where I was. Haha. We went back to Taka, like, AGAIN, 'cos Mummy wanted to buy peaches for Daddy. In the end the peaches were not pretty and damn expensive. Good thing we didn't buy 'cos we found out later that Daddy already bought them.We decided to take the MRT back and on the way to Orchard MRT station we stopped by a few shoe shops to check out shoes. Saw one I really liked but there wasn't my size. MY FEET SIZE IS NOT UNCOMMON! It's just 'cos that place ran out of my size.Daddy picked us up from Kembangan MRT and we got home safely. I'll do the critics another time k? I really really need to sleep now hehe. Sorry!!!!!
