BACKTRACK. While I was still in Singapore, I spent one Friday (13/07) afternoon out with Mummy. That Friday was when I was supposed to meet Kokkie again (I met him on the Tuesday, 10/07) but Mummy wanted to get some stuff from Orchard so I had no choice but to let Kokkie's plane fly. Heh sorry ya. Ok I can't quite remember what happened that day. Only remember shopping quite a bit in Isetan Scotts. OHOH we queued for about half an hour for Crystal Jade Kitchen only to realise they don't serve much dimsum. So we ended up at...DOME! We ordered set. Mummy had soup as her appetizer while I had garden salad.
There's the garden salad. Quite ok lar. Got quite sick of chewing so much of leaves towards the end haha so I only finished three quarters of the salad. It was a BIG plate ok! My main was teriyaki chicken with cheese tortillas.
Look at the cheeeeese! Ok, I know, you can't see much. Heh. Mummy had al funghi. Creamy pasta. Mummy and I have really reversed our roles lol.
Yum! She claims it's better then Coffee Bean's pasta. But I still love Coffee Bean's coffee and cheesecakes better! =D
We both had flat white. Alas. I tell you hor. The Gloria Jeans in Singapore don't serve flat white! I'm greatly GREATLY dissapointed in whoever who removed flat white from the Singaporean Gloria Jeans menu. IDIOTS! No where else sells flat whites either. Or at least not to my knowledge. I tried a few Levi's jeans that were on sale at Isetan Scotts but none of the cuttings were of my liking. So we didn't buy any jeans and left for home. Before we actually reached Kembangan, we got off at Paya Lebar. We decided to go take a look at one of the cake shops at Haig Road. That cake shop was DARN COOL OK! It had almost every single baking ingredients needed! Woo! Whoever stays in that area better be appreciate that shop man!!! Bought a chiffon cake tin and a bread knife and left. Went to have some dessert before we took a bus back. I had bur bur chacha. Really lousy. Mummy's green bean soup was lousy too. Yuck.
Next day (14/07)...not quite sure what I did in the day but I definitely remember very clearly the dinner I had at Uncle Kheng Joo's restaurant. Uncle Kheng Joo's the younger uncle. The uncle that really dotes on me when I was younger haha. Had coffee first. Latte.
Check out the plate of sugar and milk! Fresh milk!
Grinders coffee! =D It was slurps! Didn't take picture anymore because I felt weird lol. But we shared a few dishes like sashimi, salmon teriyaki, eel teriyaki, jellyfish, baby octopus, seaweed and so on. THEN the steamboat came. We sat at two tables combined. My table's steamboat had no beef because Grandma doesn't take beef. But the last part when the fish was added into the soup, the soup was seriously yum! I also had a few pieces of beef from the other side heh. Then we tried Uncle Kheng Joo's new dish. Stir fried pork (secret recipe) wrapped in lettuce. AWESOME! TWO THUMBS UP! Dessert was durian custard with ice cream. Everything made from scratch, even the ice cream. But the ice cream wasn't much of a success. Wouldn't freeze properly. HAHA and my avocado ice cream at home turned into some rock. Had a really great meal hey. I really love that restaurant. Because I love steamboat! =D
Will blog again soon =).

YAY!!!!!Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! De Xin's internet is up and kicking already! How cool! =DThe customer service person was telling us it'll only be up in 10-15 working days when we called them which means by right it will only be up earliest by next week. But this afternoon when Mummy and I were slacking in the living room, we realised one extra light lit up on the modem so we decided to give the internet a try and WHOALA! It's on! Praise the Lord!
Ok I'm still a bit high over the revival of my internet at the moment haha so I won't actually be blogging pictures in this post. But I promise at least one picture post tonight ya? =) Stay tuned!!!

BACK AGAIN!Using the school's computer. I hope the credit does not run out before I manage to finish blogging this post.Just visited my faculty advisor on my enrolment. Gah. Quite unhappy with myself and the school (due to the problems they created at the start of this year) but it looks like I've got no other choice hey. Not like I can flip the table and tell them they've wrongly placed me in a course they THINK I'd enjoy.
Back to my life...that's gonna turn into the status "no life". No worries, I've still been going around eating and taking photos. Doing so as much as I can right now before the assignments actually come. THAT will be when my life will turn into a "no life" mode.I'm glad I have some mental preparation this time round. And what the heck. I still have to do THREE computer science units for year2. Either that or biophysical science units, which has no help for me future. And how could they actually think Financial Accounting is of no use to me?!I need to stop whining. Really.
Lab later at 2pm. Java. I seriously hope either Garry or Max or, better still, both are in the same lab session as me. Yep, those two guys are doing the same unit as me. Which means more bullying for them and more hell for me haha! Sian.
Going off pretty soon. Wanna go home for lunch. Alrighty. Will blog again soon. Cya!
I actually can't download my lecture notes and iLectures in the library. *mumble grumble*

I'M ALIVE.Haha yeah a short post to let you guys know that I am, in fact, very much alive.School's started. Everything's ok so far. Been spending a lot of time with Mummy. No assignments thus far but I bet they're already lining up waiting to stack on me.Won't be dancing at all this semester due to some personal reasons. I'm seriously dying to dance but...oh wells. I'm quite sure I can still serve in FuZion Dance ministry in some other ways like how I'm going to help them with the display of previous dance videos this coming Freshies' Welcome.Internet's down. Which is quite a good thing. Can spend more time reading The Time Traveller's Wife and on my work. Been struggling with some emotional issues...some of you should know half of it.ANYWAYS, will try to keep this blog as updated as possible using Eunice's internet occassionally. =) Cya guys around!

TODAY.Met up with tootface again. But before that, in the morning at 9am, I had to wake up because it's the death anniversary of Daddy's Grandma (a.k.a my Greatgrandma on Daddy's side). But after praying, I sat on the sofa, tilted, and *plop* I went back to sleep. It's not my fault! I was really dead tired. And the smoke was really making my head spin.Went to visit Daddy's aunt in the afternoon. Parents were talking to her in Hakka so obviously I couldn't understand what they were talking about 90% of the time. Heh.Mummy then sent Daddy to his Karaoke session then we went to Mummy's cousin's (Ah Guan Yi Yi)place. Because. Mummy wanted to borrow some vcds from her.I TELL YOU HOR! TING TING IS SO SUPER DUPER UBER CUTE LAR OK! She's Ah Guan Yi Yi's daughter. At first she kept coming up to me but refused to talk to me. So I left her alone. Then she kept making funny noises to gain my attention. Then Ah Guan Yi Yi asked her to show me her toys. One by one she took out all her toys. Then when Mummy went "No more ar?", she'll scoot off to her room to grab more. So cute can!Had a super late brunch at a Kopitiam nearby. My first meal of the day. I wasn't even hungry lar but Mummy forced me to eat and I didn't even manage to finish it. Most probably 'cos of the headache I got due to the smoke. =\Got home quite early so I still had some time to use my lappie before I went to get myself prepared for the night.
Was supposed to meet tootface OUTSIDE Borders at Wheelocks Place but I went into Borders first haha wanted to look at the range of recipe books in Singapore's Borders. Messiness. Pure messiness.Went over to the Paperchase section and that was when tootface came.Went up to the Japanese restaurant tootface's been trying to bring me to. He was right, hey! Nice ambience! He did the ordering. One sukiyaki, one salmon sashimi, one chasoba (tootface's) and a zarusoba (mine!). Sashimi was fresh, zarusoba was nice and chewy (and homemade!) and their sukiyaki was just AWESOME! Their soup was fan-tas-tic!We also ordered dessert. Shared green tea mousse cake and tofu cheesecake. We both preferred the tofu cheesecake haha. Not too creamy, nice base. Yum!Left the place and started walking around. Went over to Zara. Walked one round around the female's section first before we went up to the male's. Both of us kept reminding each other not to spend any more money haha.Went over to Wisma Atria, where we found out what Agnus B. was. Lol. Got to Takashimaya. Checked out Zara again lol. I saw the food fair and was about to go to it when we saw Pull and Bear. Went in to chek it out.Tootface wanted to get a top but all of the tops he wanted just didn't have size M. So he decided to give size S a try. It was super tight fit lol and he thought it was too gay for him HAHA. The top I wanted to buy was too tight fit too. I wanted something baggy and comfy. So we finally got to the food fair. Walked one round. And I bought a melon korean ice cream. It was nice! Not too watery like most ice creams haha. It was sticky, the way I like it.As we left Takashimaya to make our way down to Plaza Singapura, I saw Samantha Kong. Don't think she saw me though. She was with her boyfriend.Tootface and I reached Plaza Singapura sweaty and all so we decided to go grab a drink. Walked pass a vending machine on our way down to the basement and decided vending machine drinks will do just fine. Each bought a can and we went into the MRT station. That was probably the last time I meet tootface, hey. The next time will be in 4 months' time =(. Said goodbye to each other. He placed his hand on mine like a hi5 haha. And then I left.
Had so much fun with tootface this time round. First meet up was at Esplanade where we had a Japanese dinner then a movie (Surfs Up!) at Marina Square. Second was at church service. Third was breakfast at Cafe Cartel before church service. And last was just now. =\I'll miss you, tootface! Don't shop too much ya! You've only got another 3 months! I've got a whole 2.5 years! Be glad! =D

12.07.2007 Went out with Nancy baby last Thursday! Been looking forward to this day for real long 'cos we were actually planning to meet up two Fridays ago but we decided to watch Harry Potter together so we postponed the meet up haha. Met her at Dhoby Ghaut mrt station. We were supposed to have our late lunch at Rocky Masters but I saw this really good picture of dishes from a Japanese restaurant, Kyoto Sabo AjiTei and we decided to give that a try instead. The ambience of that restaurant was really really good. There was also a widespread of selections in the menu! And so we started ordering! Nancy baby's! Some spicy seafood ramen thingy haha. Forgot it's name. It looks like spaghetti aye? But it didn't taste like spaghetti, according to Nancy. It actually tasted quite good when I tried it.
I had some Japanese curry noodle. Their noodle was the size of kway teow but the texture of ban mian. Curry was full of flavour. Superb. I'd love to say Grandma's curry's still the best but it's a total different type of curry haha so I can't compare.
We also shared these stripes of pork. Pan fried. WOO! NICE! It's not overcooked like most restaurants' so they were really nice and tender. Only took us a while to finish our main course and so we ordered some dessert. I was contemplating on whether to get macha (green tea) ice cream sundae or macha ice cream with red bean paste and rice balls. And so...
Nancy baby got the sundae...
While I got the one with the red bean paste with rice balls. THE RICE BALLS WERE SUPERB! But I thought their ice cream melted a bit too fast. Their red bean paste was of really good texture too!
Nancy baby made me take this picture =_=.
Done! I also tried the sundae and it was just as nice. It had cornflakes at the bottom. Nice combination! Had a really satisfying meal and went up for our movie. We were quite early la so we took our time and even visited the washroom. Got our tickets and in we went! (There were LOADS of people!) Movie was GOOD! Not saying anymore. =) When we got out of the cinema, WHOOOOO HUGE CROWD HUGE CROWD! Remember I said there were LOADS of people? Times that by maybe 10. Must be those eager people wanting to watch Harry Potter on the release date. I'm so glad Nancy baby booked our tickets on the net =). We went straight to East Point because Nancy baby had to collect her dear phone. After collecting her phone, we went to Pet Safari. Not much pets left eh. I only saw one hamster and the rest were dogs. Went to the outside of the building. Bought a cup of bubble tea while Nancy ate at Ah Mei Cafe. Sat outside and by the time Nancy came out with her food, I was done with my bubble tea already. So I went to get another cup =P. WHAT! I was thirsty ok! At the end of it, we walked around a little more and we went home.
We're meeting up again this coming Thursday! Woo! I'm so looking forward to it! I hope we can make it to Ikea! =)

01.07.2007 - 06.07.2007 Two Sundays ago I fried rice and brought to Grandma's place. Wasn't really interested in my Aunts' and Uncles' compliments but I waited all night for Grandma to finally sit down and eat because I was waiting EAGERLY for HER comments. So Grandma finally started eating. I stood facing her, looking at her eat my rice. Her bowl was filled to-the-brim! Then I popped the question! She smiled and nodded her head while chewing. She thought it was funny how I stood there so long just to ask that question. Lol! Went over to Germaine's cafe afterwhich. Decided to kope some peppermint liquor from her to bake Min Ru's birthday cake. Thanks a lot Germaine! =)
So Monday was Min Ru's birthday celebration. Can't quite remember what I did on Tuesday afternoon but I remember I went out for dinner with my parents. We had..
BEEF NOODLES! I had dry kuay teow (OK, it's not dry DRY but with some sauce) and beef balls in soup. Mummy had dry kuay teow with beef strips while Daddy had bee hoon soup with beef balls. No wonder they always say I'm a clash of them both. =D
Wednesday was the night out with Sherry love.
Thursday I met up with Marcus. Watched Die Hard 4 and had dinner at Swensen's with him.
Friday was another day out with Sherry love! It was our Movie Marathon! First movie was at Marina Square. Die Hard 4! Yep, my second time. Haha! I'm willing to watch it the third time actually! It's THAT good! After the first movie, we had our lunch at Changing Appetites. Finally eh!
Look at their chairs! Ok, I know you only see one here but most of their chairs are like this! Cool hey! =D
Cutlery =).
Sherry love's second iced lemon tea of the day. She had one huge cup during Die Hard 4.
My lovely green tea ice blended! Sherry took my whipped cream, though. Heh. Didn't want whipped cream on my green tea ice blended!
LOOK AT THIS! DEEP FRIED ONIONS!
A bit different from your normal onion rings hey?
We shared some chicken with mushrooms fajitas.
The fajitas were nice and warm!
LOOK AT THE CHEEEEEEEEEEEESE!!!!!
There you go. I'm caught pigging out again. We then slowly made our way to Vivocity for our next movie, My Wife Is A Gangster 3. That movie wasn't very much of an action movie. More of comedy I'd say. Not too bad I guess. Can pull through =). BUT I THOUGHT THAT KOREAN GUY WAS SO SWEET LAR! And I've got one question. Do all cute Korean guys speak the same way? He spoke just like Rain in Full House! After the movie, we walked around a bit more. Actually we already walked a bit before the movie haha and I saw a really nice brown long-sleeved top at Push and Bear but I didn't dare buy it because I was broke. So I'd really love any kind soul who'd buy that top for me ^^. After some walking, we made our way to The Cathay for dinner. BILLY BOMBERS! FINALLY!
Cheeeeese fries! With bacon bits!
Billy Bomber's Iced Lemon Tea shrunk! =( But it tasted a bit better though. Haha. After that, we watched our THIRD movie of the day, TRANSFORMERS! Yep! My second time too! And also, I'm willing to watch that the THIRD time! Transformers is just a CLASSIC!!!!! Went home after that movie. 'Cos Min Ru darling came over for a stayover =) We didn't do much lar. I was quite tired already and she was editting pictures. I watched her use her laptop till I fell asleep. Lol.
Will blog again real soon!

30.06.2007Went shopping with Daddy and Mummy two Saturdays ago. Mummy and I didn't actually expect Daddy to come along but since he wanted to, why not? =D We went to Scott's Isetan for their Hokkaido fair. Mummy was really hungry so she got quite cranky haha.We squeezed through the horrendous crowd and queued for some Takoyaki and Japanese pancakes. Walked around further in the supermarket, tried a few more samples. I must say I loved the Japanese cheesecake the best. Haha, no surprise hey?We had ice cream as our last bite from the Hokkaido fair. I had black sesame, Mummy had green tea and Daddy had this...weird flavour haha. We tried each others' and concluded that we like our own's best =D.Walked around Isetan. Looked at clothes and stuff. I ended up buying two pairs of Havaiianas flipflops. 10% off first pair, 50% off second pair! Woo!At the end of the short shop, we were hungry again (yes, this is the Chia family for you). Parents wanted to go take a look at Pepper lunch. But the moment I told them they had to cook their own meat, they turned around. =_=Walked around in search for a good restaurant and guess what???
My parents found The Ship at Shaw Centre! It's in a nice quiet corner so people who don't actually know that restaurant might not even want to go in.According to my parents, this restaurant has been around for real long, even before I was born. Mummy said Daddy really loved their steaks and has been searching around for this restaurants for YEARS.
Look at their interior! Special hey! =D
Daddy just couldn't stay still!! That seat got a little too squeashy for my parents so we moved to another seat.
Beautiful beautiful!
We were first served bread with butter spread. Their bread looked like peaches!
Daddy had steak of the day which was cut from...
This wagon. Which was why the dish was called steak on the wagon. Haha. I tried it and it was not bad.
Mummy had steak Diana. Hers was well done. Daddy's was standard since it was off a wagon.
I had the chef's special!!! The cheese was AWESOME!Parents ordered set meals so they had desserts and coffee. I drank Mummy's coffee AND ate Mummy's mango pudding. Daddy ate his own because I obviously couldn't finish two shares.
The Ship's coffee!
Saw this parked beside our car at the carpark. I just have this weak thing for cars with side mirrors that can fold haha. Actually Daddy's can too just that he doesn't want to. Oh, the car's a BMW Z4 I think. Heh.After that, we drove to Tampines Mall for some really mad shopping. Mtero at Century Square was having some closing down sale so Daddy wanted to go get some stuff there.Bought some bed sheets and towels. The crowd was just as horrendous as at Isetan's Hokkaido fair. But we had some really great deals. Cheap bed sheets and towels! =)That ended our day. I got home really shagged!
