BYEBYE!

Luggage packing has become almost a habit. I was still pretty cool about it until I found out I nearly couldn't stuff everything in. The thing is, I'm not as excited as before. I mean, yes, I can't wait to go back to Perth ('cos of Baby) and all but the flight has no special feel anymore. Unlike the last time when Daddy flew with Mummy and I.

Farewell, Singapore! Won't be around till late November. Quick, quick, say you'll miss me! Baha just kiddin'. Good thing my timetable's better planned this time. =)

19,20,21/02/2008

Didn't go send Baby off at the airport 'cos Baby told me not to. I knew I should have, and I DID set my alarm to 7am but I was sooo drained I just sent an sms to him. Good thing was he called me at around 8.45am before he boarded the plane. So so so sweet of him =). The next thing I knew, I was counting down to his touch down in Perth. That is, after I woke up. Heh.

All that sleep was still not enough and I woke up 40 minutes late (was supposed to wake up at around 9am to go down to town with Mummy to meet Aunt Siew Khim and Aunt Siew Luan at 11am). Rushed through everything and had Daddy send us to Kembangan MRT station. Thanks so much, Daddy!

Mummy and I were 5 minutes late, heh, and Aunt Siew Luan was already there. Only when Aunt Siew Khim arrived then did we find out we were supposed to meet at 11.15am, not 11am. Miscommunication somewhere! Ah wells. Four of us happily strided to a restaurant at a newly opened corner in the basement of Raffles City. Name? Streets Cafe (Jie Tou Cha Can Ting).Mummy on the left and Aunt Siew Luan on the right. Sisters!

My iced ying yang. Ultimate best for a swelteringly hot day in Singapore!

Aunt Siew Khim had hot coke with ginger (something only you'll take if you have the cravings for but I have to say its interestingly superb) while Mummy had hot honey lemon.

My beef soup noodles. Spicy and awesome. It'd have been much better if they used ramen.

Mummy's beef fried noodles. Apparently their signature dish but we find it not their best dish.

Aunt Siew Luan's noodles. THIS ONE WAS THE BOMB. OMGOSH. I'M SO GONNA TRY THIS THE NEXT TIME I'M BACK!

Aunt Siew Khim's fried rice. Ultimate disappointment. It was the normal fried rice I think. Terribly blend. Bleargh.

Brinjal fried with pork floss. A MUST TRY! SHIOK!

After lunch we were all daaamn full haha so we decided to walk around first. Ended up at Crabtree and Evelyn 'cos the ladies wanted to buy some lotion. Mummy bought for us (more for herself) a goat's milk body lotion for winter. When we were done, we went for...GLORIA JEANS! I had green tea chiller, Mummy had latte, Aunt Siew Khim had vanilla latte, Aunt Siew Luan had hot green tea.

Coffee wasn't all for us. We were also at Robinson 'cos Mummy needed to get some Shiseido products. It's so Mummy's-Day that day. Lol. Mummy also got some sun block lotion for her hands from Clarin's. Wtcrap. It annoys me everytime they talk about sun protection and ask me to start taking care of my skin. Not like I don't. I just don't hide from the sun like it's gonna gobble me up or something.

Aunt Siew Khim and Aunt Siew Luan left for their work while Mummy and I walked over to The Central at Clarke Quay. All because I've not brought her there and I've brought Baby there. She's been complaining about it since I don't know when. She finally got to take a look at it haha.

We then took a bus down to Sim Lim Square to get printer ink cartridges. Ended up also buying another 2GB compact flash card for my 400D. All I need now is another spare battery which I doubt I'll get unless. I don't know. Haha.

When we finally got what we wanted and went to the places we wanted to go to, we took a bus back. I totally knocked out the moment I reached home. Ok, not really, but I was really tired. Slept pretty early that night. I think.

WEDNESDAY I was out with Sherry Love. Anything to distract me from missing my Baby too much hehe. We met at Vivocity. BOTH OF US WERE EARLY! I reached first (just seconds before Sherry) so I got the tickets for Michael Clayton first. When we got the tickets, we marched over to Sushi Tei for LUNCH! Good thing we went after the lunch period. No queueing needed!

OHOH GUESS WHAT! I bumped into Weiping! First when I was rushing to GV to get the tickets and second at Sushi Tei itself! Haha but Sherry and I spent so much time in Sushi Tei I lost Weiping. But anyways. Sherry passed me the couple "dancing" decoration thingy from Ikea she helped me buy when she went there ages ago haha. She also passed me a present which I opened then and there.

IT WAS A BALLERINA PICTURE! Not really ballerina but picture of their turned-out pointed feet. DAMN PRETTY! Also from Ikea so you can go check it out if you're there. It's most probably at the frames section. I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN I SAW IT LA OK! OMGOSH! Sherry you're SUCH a darling!

Ok back to lunch haha. We ate like. A LOT.Yellow plate: some eel with omelette sushi. I just had the cravings for it. Pink plate: red caviar sushi. I ALWAYS have that if I'm taking sushi. Red plate: some avocado filling thingy haha. DAMN SHIOK!

Black plate: sashimi. Not cold enough but damn thick slices. Pink plate: baked salmon roll or something. AWESOME! My second favourite! Green plate: prawn roll or something. The taste of the prawn just exploded in our mouths. Bagus!

Agedeshi tofu (right?). It's way bigger than it looks. The skin was heavenlyyyyy!

Salmon stuffed with cheese and deep fried. MY FAVOURITE OF THE DAY. It'll be something I'll ALWAYS order when I'm at Sushi Tei. It's also way bigger than it looks.

WE ATE SO MUCH! Damn sinful but it's ultimate pleasure. Enough to satisfy a food lover here.

Michael Clayton was ok. OH-KAY I didn't enjoy it. I found it pretty draggy and I nearly dozed off at some parts. Hero, although Japanese, was much better. Two thumbs down.

After the movie we stopped by Gloria Jean's because I needed my green tea chiller. While I sipped away, Sherry took out her super-mini Jenga.
Sherry's mess! Haha I won both rounds.

When we finished the second game, we left for home. I had a really great day with Sherry =).

THURSDAY? Another day with Sherry Love again! The day didn't start out too good, actually. Had a small arguement with Daddy and hence I couldn't spend the whole day with Sherry 'cos I needed to be home after the movie.

I still went out with Sherry! Was supposed to meet her at Cineleisure at 11.30am to get the movie tickets for Persepolis before going for lunch. Sherry was late so I got the tickets myself first. Then I walked down towards Sherry's direction (Dohby Ghaut), we met, and walked back up to Outdoors for lunch.

Sherry's drink. Some lychee thingy.

Watermelon martini. Mine. I'm an addict to martini already. The drink was pretty simple haha. I still love green apple martini the best. Cliche yadahyadahyadah.

My open beef burger. Not bad! Bread toasted to perfection. Beef patty was nice although a bit too minced. Cheese was ultimate bomb.

Sherry's fish and chips. It was....not...bad...but there's still something missing. Something Cicerello's could do better. *shrugs*

After our lunch we had some time to kill so we walked over to Heerens. HMV. I GOT SAVE THE LAST DANCE for like. What? S$9.95?!?!?! DAMN CHEAP LA! I also got something else. Wahaha secret!

Time was almost up so we went back to Cineleisure for our movie at level 9! PERSEPOLIS WAS DAMN GOOD! Despite it being animated, the storyline was damn good and it was made in such an artistic way! Money well spent man. I loved the movie. Considering buying the book. Yep, it's adapted from a book.

When we came out of the movie, guess what Sherry saw.GARFIELD! IT'S SO DAMN SUPER HUGE! The poster at the right is even taller than me so can you believe it! I couldn't help touching it again and again and again!

I went straight home afterwards. Like. Crap. Shoes not bought (I've been eyeing on this pair of heels from Charles and Keith and only Wisma's C&K seem to have it), CD not bought (I want that CD from That CD Shop with Fly Me To The Moon). What. The. Crap. Argh.

So I got home, Daddy, Mummy and I had tang yuan together (I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT WAS THE REASON I WENT HOME EARLY FOR) and I was even forced to have dinner after such a full lunch. That whole day, although half well spent with Sherry, was a crapped up day. Ok. Enough with complains.

Baby just called, all the way from Margaret River, WA, Australia. It's gonna be taxing on both our phone bills but hey, who cares? I missed his voice so much. It's such a blessing to be able to hear him mumble and grumble and for me to be able to pour out my complains on him.

He's such a sweetie pie I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!

17&18/02/2008

Sunday morning I went for church as usual. Sermon made a lot a lot a lot of sense. You really need the attitude to get things done. Things as in proper real things. It's by far the most meaningful sermon I've attended in Singapore.

After church, I didn't join Y2K for lunch again. I have to say I felt terribly bad. I had to meet up with Myren, Felix and Dorcia in town. Rushed all the way down town in fear of being late but in the end Myren and Felix were both late LOL.

When they arrived, we went into Gloria Jean's outside Cineleisure 'cos the guys needed to have their lunch and coffee. Bummed around for about...45 minutes? Then we went down and got our tickets for Jumper. Dorcia came soon after.

Jumper was great. Ending was kinda. Erm. Not here not there. But as a whole it's really good. BUT not something I'll pay A$12 in Australia for. Do the exchange rate thingy and you'll figure out why.

After the movie I rushed over to Grandma's place. Felt bad leaving the guys so fast but I had no choice. And when I reached Grandma's place, there was a battle going on in the kitche. IN I WENT!Mummy was also helping out haha. I helped out for about...45 minutes? Chop things up, transfer things into the wok, bring out dishes, this and that.Xiao cai from Din Tai Fung.

Dumplings (don't know from where) and Grandma's homemade ngoh hiang. After trying both Mummy's and Grandma's, I still think Greatgrandma's is different and nicer. All three of them use the same recipe so it probably will have to be the cooking process that makes the difference.

Vegetables! I loooved this one!

Stir fried glass noodles. AWESOME! The prawn was GIGANTIC!

Century egg thingy on top of tofu. Not bad!

The super big plate of yu sheng. Home made ok!

Being the camera person seems more fun but I was still forced to "lou" a bit.

Grandma giggling away, my hands shaking, super blur picture.

"Where are the crackers?????"

Home cooked food, wine, loved ones. What more can I ask? Baby =).

Dinner was sooooo heavy. I was literally gonna explode. Aunt Siew Khim and her hubby sent Mummy, Jojo, Jian En and I home. A while later Baby came over to pass me his camera and hence the Vday post.

MONDAY! Was out with Baby again =D. You see what I mean! Now you should get a hang of how I'm feelng right now. Checking my phone every now and then, thinking of him, missing how he holds on tight to my hands. Ok I'll stop.

Baby and I wanted to watch P.S. I Love You at Vivocity at 10.50am so we met up pretty early and went down to Vivo together. How nice of them to have a system break down that morning. We obviously couldn't catch the 10.50am movie anymore so Baby and I walked over to the Starhub shop in Vivo to return some cables and remote control before we went down to Marina Square's Rocky Master for lunch. We shared a 9-inch margarita's pizza. THE CHEESE WAS DAMN SHIOK! And 'cos there was so much cheese it was really really filling haha. But it was really good. Waaaaay too good.

After lunch, we went to The Cathay for P.S. I Love You. The movie didn't start till about an hour later so we walked over to Plaza Singapura 'cos Baby needed to get some stuff. When time was up and Baby got his stuff, we walked bck to The Cathay for the movie.

The movie was damn sweet! I sooo loved it. Baby didn't like what the movie did to him haha 'cos Baby read the book in his JC days and cried. So the movie was like a sad flash-back for him. It's a really really touching movie.

After the movie we walked over to Plaza Singapura for dessert and coffee at Rocky Master again. The second picture was to irritate Baby lol proving to him I can also take a good picture of the cheesecake from his angle. Hehe. This is the strawberry cheesecake. It was like explosion in my mouth. Awesome.

Apple and almond crumble flan. The thing Baby and I argued about. He claimed it was fan but it's actually flan. He only found out I was right yesterday. Lol. Silly Baby.

After our tea-time (=D) we took a bus back together. He sent me to my doorstep, wanted to come in to say high to my parents but Daddy was sleeping in the sofa so I walked Baby out to the canal area and said goodbye. That was the last time I saw him =(. 4 more days. Just 4 more days. I gotta be patient! I love you, Baby!

15&16/02/2008

Was out with Baby last Friday for some museum excursion haha! But before we actually went down to the national museum, we stopped by Marina Square for coffee at Rocky Master. Why Marina Square? 'Cos he wanted to show me a picture of himself his father placed on the wall. HAHA! Nope, Baby's father is not the boss of Rocky Master. Rocky Master's just one of his projects.

My iced coffee and Baby's devil's brew.

Baby said it looked like our cameras went on a date lol.

When we were done with our coffee, Baby went to get some batteries from 7-11 at CityLink before we went down to the national museum together.THE CEILING WAS DAMN PRETTY! Can't remember when was the last time I stepped into the national musuem (it was Baby's first) but I definitely didn't take note of the ceiling.

Baby and I got the tickets for the Greek exhibition, Singapore history and Singapore living exhibition. I so should have brought my 400D but ah wells. In we went! This is so not a Greek artifact ok. Haha.

AMEN.

We spent quite some time in there taking photos and looking at the exhibitions. Baby just couldn't help comparing our photos with the professioanl photographers' photos outside. Lol.

I thought this was a good shot by Baby. Heh. But it has nothing to do with the Greek exhibition. I think.

Next we went for the Singapore history gallery.Baby's so gonna kill me if he sees this lol.

Baby found F1 on the Singapore stone. Can you find it? =D

I happily chose the personal path which was a super huge mistake towards the middle part. Haha you'll know why.

This was when I started to get scared. Was really glad Baby was there holding my hand throughout or I might not have survived. I got scared at even the slightest things like the shadow of a moving fan. Heh. There were also certain parts where Baby was shocked/scared.

We finally got out of that place (the companion thingy got quite irritating) and moved on to the Singapore living gallery.

On the way back up. Haha we were both damn fascinated about the swinging lamps. We actually already saw them from a far when we were not in the museum yet and were wondering what they were 'cos they looked like bouncing lights.

Baby and I didn't go into all the rooms. Only the food and photography ones 'cos we were getting quite bored and tired. The food one was a big mistake though..'cos we left the place hungry! The smell was killing. Smelt like ham chi peng! Hence the hunger.

Next, photography. They were just photos of the past. I was expecting something different heh. But I managed to catch a glimpse of the cameras people used back then. SAW A CAMERA THAT LOOKED SIMILAR TO DADDY'S OLYMPUS!

Before we rushed to the toilet I made Baby take that photo. Heh.

The toilet was situated in this restaurant/bar in the museum. Outside the toilet were shelves of wine bottles. Can imagine Baby's excitement. =D

The super long table in the restaurant/bar. Took that photo 'cos of the out-of-place set of wine glass. After the museum, Baby and I walked over to Tang's basement 'cos, as I've said, we were hungry. We walked around for quite a bit before I settled on the butterfly thingy. Baby had Taiwan mee sua =D.

When we were done eating, we took bus 36 back. My first time sending Baby home! Not to his doorstep, though haha. 'Cos I was going to the airport so I took bus 36 with him. But he got off at his stop. Later in that night he had an outing with his friends. Had to encourage him to go lol.

So yep, I went down to the airport to SEND NELSON OFF TO BRISBANE! He was actually tearing at the departure gate! Awww man. You'll be missed, don't worry =D. We wrote a card for him and shared a gift (some huge sponebob) for him. His other friends were there to send him off as well haha. Lucky guy.

After sending Nelson off I went straight home. Was sooooo tired. I think I also slept quite early. Heh.

Had lunch with Baby on Saturday. We were back at Plaza Singapura, AGAIN. He had to return the SCV top set to Starhub (I think he could've done it at Parkway haha but it's okies). We were so early all the restaurant were not open yet. So Baby and I went over to Rocky Master 'cos he needed some coffee.HAHA that sticker is so that students will stop approaching him for more donations but he sticked it on his hands nobody could see. Poor students doing flag day.

When we got back into Plaza Singapura after Baby was done with his coffee, Ajisen Ramen was still not open (don't know what got into me, making me wanna try that place again after so many years) so we went over to Kyoto Sabo Ajitei.

THE MENU WAS SO LIMITED THIS TIME! This and that not available. What the heck. The last time I went there all their stuff on their menu were available and nice!

I ended up getting this seafood ramen. Was not bad but not exactly fabulous. Baby had some pan fried salmon rice set thingy. After lunch Baby sent me off at the bus stop while he went to meet up with his dad. It turned out that his dad wanted Baby to meet him at Kembangan haha. Oh wells.

Baby went home to help his dad cook 'cos his dad had friends over at his place for dinner. I practically had nothing to do at home lol. But later that night Baby drove over to my place. We had nothing to do, I needed to get shampoo, so out we went, searching for 24/7 places that sell my shampoo.

Our area (Siglap) didn't have any place that sells my shampoo (what's so difficult about selling Pantene in 7-11 in Siglap???) so we went all the way to Geylang just 'cos I jokingly said Mustafa's in Geylang. Obviously it isn't haha but we didn't want to go too far either so we went down to Geylang.

ONE OF THE 7-11s IN GEYLANG HAS MY SHAMPOO. What is thiiiiis. All the way in Geylang. But then again, guess who I bumped into! Lucas! Lucas from TNS! Apparently he's switched his job. Haha. Baby thought someone was trying to catch my attention 'cos LUCAS CALLED ME "EH!" AND NOT MY NAME! Lol!

Baby wanted to watch soccer (Man-U vs Arsenal) so we ended up at Tanjong Katong area. Watched it off some projector screen at the hawker centre in the hostel. Man-U won 4-0! Oh yeah! =D Good thing Baby and I both support Man-U!

After the match Baby was hungry lol so I accompanied him down to Fei Fei Wanton Mee at Joo Chiat area. It's the once-I'm-out-I-don't-feel-like-going-back feeling. I was pretty tired but I just wanted to spend more time with Baby before he flew back. Haha Baby felt so bad he sent me home immediately after he was done. =D
