ICE CREEEAAAM!!!!!!!!!!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

Oh man. I've been eating ice cream everyday since Mummy left. Dinner? Ice cream. Tea time? Ice cream. Everyday I must have at least one scoop of ice cream. Just yesterday I had two cone ice cream and one scoop of ice cream. Now I'm having two huge scoops of ice cream.

Something's wrong.

HOME ALONE.

Life's been pretty monotonous.

School.
Eat.
Home
Internet.
7pm clean house.
Study.
Internet.
Sleep.

Except for a few pleasant surprises like. The big black worm. That was in. Mummy's room. On the ceiling, right above her bed. I literally froze when I saw it. Took a broom, swept it down, screamed, sprayed a pool of baygon (machiam like baygon free like that), watched the worm curl up and die (damn cool!), took two kitchen towels, attempted to pick up the worm but to no avail (I think I made quite a bit of weird noises while attempting. It's damn gross, you know.), took the mini broom and pan, swept it up, threw the already dried-to-solidness worm into the bin.

Misson accomplished.

Mummy you better not have anymore weird stuff in your room.

DADDY.

Was on the webcam with Mummy a few hours back and she was telling me to throw away the water she boiled before she left on Saturday 'cos I haven't boiled any since 'cos I have been out quite often and didn't use any water. Daddy eavesdropped.

"Eh. You later want me to boil water for you not? I boiling water later. I bring over some for you la."

Lol.

Then we were talking about me not showering before I sleep for the past few nights (because I shower when I wake up and I don't shower before I sleep IF I don't have the time and I'm clean 'cos of the cool weather).

Daddy: "Yesterday night never chong liang (shower in chinese) right?"
Me: "Ya."
Daddy: "Saturday night also right?"
Me: "Hehe, ya."
Daddy: "Tonight use washing machine shower la."

NO FOOD.

Sorry, guys. This post ain't about food. Haha.

Recently watched Indiana Jones 4 with my church at Reading Cinema, Belmont. I found the movie really hillarious, laughing my head away. Given I have not watched the first 3 and still understood the jokes, I suppose this movie is really good haha. I loved how Steven Spielburg managed to capture the retro effect. But. Of all things. Why did the skull belong to a(n) _____? Ridiculous. Totally.

A bit of a hic up happened on the way to the movie. Left me in a state of reflection since last night. I wanna help. I really do. But I don't want to end up being taken advantage of, you get what I mean?

On a lighter note, a gifted child of God came down from Costa Rica to our chuch during the weekend that just passed. I went for both Saturday (UWA) and Sunday (Curtin) services and I have to say, he's truely amazing.

For me to be blessed with Gold Dust on both days, for me to fall to my knees on both days, for me to fall (really fall) with his one touch, you wouldn't believe he's only 21 this year.

Truely amazing.

PHOTOS!!!

Gonna upload some long overdue photos. Finally, hey? Haha that's 'cos I managed to finish my microecons essay (and slept at 5am this morning) and so here I am, taking a short break!

I've been busy busy and just busy ever since the one week study break. After my microecons exam, I had a high school ball to attend the next day (03/05/2008). Was invited by Kang =).(Top) I'm the OLDEST in this picture! But I'm quite sure I don't look oldest ^^.
(Bottom) The little bro. =D

I'd say the ball was a whole new experience for me given I'd never had/attended a high school ball before. There was a befores (when the top picture was taken) where a few of them gathered to...uh...set the mood? I don't know haha. By then a few of them were already drinking (and smoking). Brings back memories huh. The times when I was underaged too.

Half the high school kids who went for the ball were already high before the ball started. Goes to show how much they'd drunk at their own befores. Food was good, although not Hyatt's best standard. Buffet. Could've been better. WHERE'S THE STICKY DATE PUDDING?! And the music was...very high school. Haha. Lotsa disco, hip hop/r&b were a minority, slow songs even more minor haha. Didn't dance a lot cos, er, 1) not my kinda songs and 2) not a familiar crowd.

Afters was the best I reckon. Drank one cup of tequila+coke (credits to StanS). Wasn't really in the mood to drink actually. Lazy. Heh. I enjoyed it best 'cos the boys were getting pretty high and stuff. At least StanS didn't drink so he could drive me home haha. Thanks, Stan!

Next up! Mishi mommy's birthday! 6th of May. Her brother, JoshLau, planned a surprise for her after her dinner with Charles. As usual, Mango was pretty much the centre of attention if not Mishi. They're like a happy family, Charles, Mishi and Mango =D.

Then, birthday again. Haha. Sek Cheng's! 07/05/2008 was the surprise. I think her actual birth date was 08/05/2008.Yayyy! Happy birthday, girl! =)

Been catching up with a few friends lately. Met up with Petrus last Thursday (15/05/2008) for dinner at Applecross. His place is...quite an interesting place to drive around. Haha. We ate at Viva Restaurant. Risotto. AWESOME TO THE MAX!

Just yesterday I had dinner with Ben Lin at Subiaco. Sicilian Café and Restaurant it was. Their pasta was great and affordable. Didn't expect much since their price ain't exactly that high. I thought Ben's Chef's Choice was good though! My gnocchi in pesto sauce was pretty good too but I thought the texture of the gnocchi could be improved. Pizza dough was heeeaaaveenly ^^.MORE DESSERTS NEEDED!

We walked over to Oriel for coffee and cake. Caramel and choc fudge cheesecake and banana and white choc cheesecake. Two words. TOO sweet. Way too sweet, man. But their coffee was terrific. Long macchiato with hazelnut syrup for me and cappuccino for him.

You wouldn't believe it but the whole night was spent talking about our fav hollywood actors/actresses. What a way to catch up haha! But at least I found out he's also a foodie and I can just ask him out whenever I feel like trying somewhere new/good. OH AND HIS SUPRA WAS SO SUPER SEXY minus the fact that it's an auto. Sorry, Kenneth, Ben's Supra beats yours anytime. Wahaha.

Today's catch-up friend was The Good Friend, WX. Tiamo!(Top) My long macchiato with hazelnut syrup.
(Middle) My penne ramazzotti. TWO THUMBS UP! Although the pasta was not al dente. I really love my pasta perfectly al dente. Bijia can relate to that.
(Bottom) WX's tenderloin strip. He says "TOO MUCH CHEESE!" Haha but I love cheese so...*shrugs*. =P

Drove (in his BMW!) to Dalkeith to take a look at the suburb. I have to say. ATAS AREA! All their stuff are all so expensive! Roses at $40/dozen and tulips at $30?! Things in IGA distinctly more expensive?! Oh my. Gosh.

Got home and sleeeeep.

(Top) Mummy's cappuccino.
(Second) My long macchiatto.
(Third) Mummy's gnocchi. AWESOME OK I TELL YOU! CHEWY GNOCCHI!!!!!
(Bottom) My lasagne. Not bad!

Mummy and I bought the Perth Entertainment Book (PEB) and I've been using it quite a bit! Tiamo's with WX was also paid at a discount thanks to the PEB. And the last four pictures were at Heather's Hutch (140 Broadway, near Greco's). Nice and small and cozy! Love love!

Looking forward to more good food with the PEB for the next year or so! No doubt I'm gonna buy it every year.

TEMPTATION.

Working on my economics essay with people outside screaming to the soccer match is so not helping. Especially when a friend, living only two blocks away, has foxtel.

AAAAARGH!

SPOILT BRATS.

Was driving YQ and Alicia back home from the Hillsongs deligates' meeting at Pastor's place and we realised all three of us (minus Mummy) are only childs. Spoilt brats, in other words. My mind, somehow or another, changed it into a Christian context and hey, I realised something.

ALL OF US (yes, including you reading this), are spoilt brats.

Let me analyze it in an earthly way first. When our parents are so patient and forgiving towards us, we take it for granted and push them to their limits even further. When our parents provide us with so much, we ask for more. When our parents plans certain things for us for our sake and we don't like them, we say they're being unfair by not giving us freedom of choice. When our parents scold us or try to correct our mistakes, we say thay don't love us.

Now the Godly way. We've been blessed by God's Grace and Mercy so much we often take it for granted. God has blessed and provided us with so much and yet we always ask for more, most of the time still unsatisfied. When things don't go our way but in God's way (for the better of us), we whine and complain God's being unfair. When certain things/disasters/disagreements/mishaps happen, we say God don't love us anymore.

Agree?

TAGGED!

YOURS TRULY got tagged by Wilson Chong a few days back.

The Rules
Link to your tagger and post these rules.
List eight (8) random facts about yourself.
Tag eight people at the end of this post and list their names.
Let them know they’ve been tagged by leaving them a comment on their blogs. (WILSON YOU DIDN'T LET ME KNOW!)

Random Fact #1: I've never owned a Sony Ericsson phone in my life.
I first started using handphones when I turned 12 (2001) and it was a Nokia 3310 (was a birthday gift from Mummy!). I've used motorola, samsung and nokia but have never used Sony Ericsson. Probably it's the lazy factor in me. You know, Sony Ericsson's buttons are pretty different from Samsung and Nokia. My Motorola phone was a no-choice thing 'cos I lost a phone then.

Random Fact #2: I love eating ice cream during extremely cold weather like winter.
If you don't already know that, it means you haven't been constantly reading my blog. No obligations though ^^. And back to the ice cream point, Mummy and I are both suckers for ice cream but I crave for them more during cold weather. Even when I'm sick like now. And Mummy knows it's impossible to stop me when I really crave for it. GO ASK HER! I just had a bowl of ice cream ^^.

Random Fact #3: I've not worn a skirt in a year plus, probably two.
Was never really a skirt person. I love wearing dresses, short, medium or long. Just not skirts. I'm more of a shorts person.

Random Fact #4: When I was 3 y.o., Mummy NEVER thought of signing me up for ballet.
Nopes, you didn't read it wrong. Mummy wanted me to be a pianist all the while, even till now. According to her, I was the one who made her sign me up for ballet when i was only 3. She said I was pretty mesmorised by a studio of ballerinas and kept dropping very obvious hints. She didn't give up on the pianist dream, though. She kept forcing it till I failed my grade 8 piano exams and refused to go for any piano lessons ever again. Give me the leotard, tights, shoes and barre. Leave the piano to others.

Random Fact #5: I love the farms. Animal farms.
When I was younger, parents and I used to go travelling every end of the year (until 911 happened and it became once every 2-3 years). Each time they say we're going overseas, the first I'd ask was "ARE WE STAYING IN A FARM?!?!?!?!?!" But I only got to stay in one when we came to Perth for holiday in 2002. I ABSOLUTELY ENJOYED IT!

Random Fact #6: My favourite animal is NOT dog/cat/hamster/rabbit.
My favourite animal is horse. No kid. They can be so graceful and muscular at the same time. I'd really love to go horse riding again. Now you know how hard it is to do certain personality quizzes that asks you what your favourite animal is and refuse to put "horse" as one of the choices.

Random Fact #7: I'm not scared of most insects (haha, Wilson, it's totally opposite from your fact).
A cockroach can crawl right infront of my feet and I'll still sit down calmly while a guy friend beside me is standing on the bench freaking out. BUT I'm scared of bees ('cos they can sting) and I hate skinny leg spiders ('cos they look gross). I'm ok with huge-ass spiders like tarantulas.

Random Fact #8: I'm afraid of the dark. Make that VERY.
Probably the only phobia I know I have. It gets so bad I can jump at my own shadow. Ever since I got Hammie, and whenever possible, I drive whenever I have to get to somewhere at night. This phobia's not fun at all, trust me.

I wanna tag: Sherry, Mark Chow, YQ, Wei Xian, Nancy, JaniceC, Allison, Weiping!

MOTHERS' DAY.

Sorry for the limited updates these few weeks. You can't blame me! One essay and one project due soon. Also had mid-sems (which I think I did fairly ok compared to previous sems) and never-ending tutorial questions. BUT that doesn't mean I didn't put in any effort in making Mum's Day a success! The preparation started one week before the actual day.

In the middle of the night/morning, at around 12.30am, I started making the Mothers' Day card. It was more of an instruction card haha since I was telling Mummy to get ready by 9.30 for church service at Curtin. Pastor Patrick insisted! Many performances and sharings. The mums at the service (including Mummy) got a gift!

Had to leave early because the service was dragging on for too long and I had to be at The Esplanade Hotel by 1pm. Only hit the road at 12.20pm, rushed all the way down, searched high and low for a parking, and got in 5 minutes late.DAMN POSH!

Mummy: "5! Our unit number also 5!"
Me: =_=

Clockwise from mussels: Chilli mussels (disappointed with the size), some pistachio with meat thigny that I didn't quite appreciate, semi-raw beef slices, sotong, baby octopus, crabmeat salad.

Clockwise from rice: Coconut rice pilaf with raisins (SHIOK!), some lamb curry thingy, beef, spinach and ricotta tortellini (GENG!), chicken.

Sorry, I forgot to take picture before I attacked. LtR: fish with crumbed top, another serving of tortellini, pork.

Clockwise from the pink thing: strawberry cheesecake (I think), triple choc mousse cake (ULTIMATE!), apple pie, carrot cake (yumyum), lemon cheesecake, some tart that nearly got me shooting through the roof.

Lemon/orange and poppy seed cake. Nice! Oh and Mummy had this...super huge chocolate cake and strawberry swiss roll (FWOAAAAAAH!).

HOWEVER, Hyatt's buffet had a wider variety. Mains and desserts alike. Hyatt's mains were better too. Oh wells. Haha.

When we got home, I urged Mummy to open her gift. There was a body soap block, small bottle of honey, soup cup, four teabags and newspaper. Haha!

After much messiness in organisation, the surprise dinner for Mummy was finally organised 3 hours prior to the fixed time. Suling was the chef (I'd really love to cook like her!), Shawn opened his house and a lot of people came!

Was pretty difficult getting Mummy to not suspect. She was suspecting at first and then thought it was nothing. Then I had to tell her I had a lot of things to get from Shawn's place and I needed her help. And I brought my DSLR bag along so she asked why I brought my camera.

Mummy: "Why you bring your camera?"
Me: "I need to pass Shawn some photos also."
Mummy: "Go Shawn's house just to pass him photos?"
Me: " No la. I need to get stuff from him then shun bian (at the same time) pass the photos to him."
Mummy: "Ooooh."

When we reached, she was pointing at cars going, "Isn't this so-and-so's car?" She did that for WX's and Jeremy's car. And I saw her staring suspiciously at Eufei's car from the corner of my eyes. And when she got in, everyone burst into singing Happy Mothers' Day in the tune of Happy Birthday. Haha!
Dinner was a huge success. Really grateful to all those who came and made it possible =). Mummy was really happy. Mission accomplished!

Other stuff that happened that day:
1) Brought Hammie over to Charles' place to get the scratches (will talk about that another time) fixed only to realise one scratch couldnt be fixed and needed black shoe polish.
2) Watched soccer with a few guys at Max's place. Man U won!!! Glory glory Man United~

MARK! YOU'RE FINALLY HERE! *bighug*
