TIRED.

Grandma and Daddy safely touched down yesterday afternoon. Mummy rented a car (one day earlier, in fact, to send Faith's mummy to the airport) and we drove down to the airport to pick Grandma and Daddy up. Waited quite a bit 'cos Daddy didn't know where to pick up the umbrellas he brought over lol. Apparently they had to be picked up from another side and Grandma was the one who found it.

Haven't really done much these days I suppose. Tuesday night was mooncake festival. Have yet to take pictures from people who took pictures of me. And on Wednesday night, Grandma's and Daddy's first night here, our electricity tripped. Perfect timing.

So Grandma, Mummy and Daddy planned to have breakfast at the Greek cafe (Cafe Ela) at Broadway Fair yesterday morning since we couldn't boil water for coffee or even toast bread. But when Mummy called the agent to ask the technician to come down and deal with the problem, the agent told my Mummy she could actually use the pedestrian gate key to open the electricity box at the back. So electricity's back on but they still went to Cafe Ela for breakfast.

I joined them after my lecture ended at 10am. Had french toast, this time without that crazy amount of icing sugar on top. We also walked around IGA. Took hell loads of sushi samplings haha! Oops.

Managed to do quite a bit of my accounting project with one of my groupmates, Lisa, after my physics lecture in the afternoon. My lunch was two cups of long black and a cookie. I guess I ate too much for my late breakfast lol. But the two cups of long black didn't really keep me awake. I still felt really sleepy.

Went to Garden City in the night. That was when I realised I was actually very protective over Grandma. Whenever Daddy or Mummy wasn't walking by her side, I'd be walking behind her, making sure no stranger gets too close in contact with her.

I had four very important people in my life. Greatgrandma's gone and I'm now left with three. I can't afford to let anything happen to Grandma. But then again I hope I don't get too protective.

Shopped a great deal. Bumped into Alice, Jetro (not sure of spelling heh), Faith and Eunice. The place was really really crowded.

Today's another brand new day. Going Subiaco with Grandma, Daddy and Mummy later. Cell tonight.

Been feeling really empty lately. True, I have God, I have the three most important people in my life. But are those really enough? I don't know. Been feeling very tired physically, mentally and spiritually as well. But the more satan wants me to surrender...the more I'll hang on, especially to God.

Went to sleep last night hoping I'd never wake up this morning. Looks like it never happened. Maybe God has greater plans for me.

HOW OLD, EXACTLY?

Some girl from my accounting tutorial class, who's at least a year older than me, thought I was older than her. In fact, she thought I was about 20+ years old. HAHA.

Ok. That shouldn't be funny. Do I really look that old???

TEST?!

This morning when I went for my 9th driving lesson, my instructor told me to consider taking the driving test. At first I thought he was joking so I just laughed and continued driving. But towards the end of the lesson, he mentioned it again.

WHERE GOT SO FAST ONE?!

So I went home and told Mummy about it and she asked me to give it a try.

WHAT?!?!?!

RELIGIOUS BELIEFS.

I was checking my blogpatrol account just a while ago and I realised someone was linked to my blog by searching "religious beliefs" on a search engine. And I was greatly disgusted at the post the search engine found in my blog.

I'm glad I've found Him.

HOLIDAY GONE =(.

Holiday's over! Assignments, projects and labs to hand in. Tests and exams coming up. Argh.

Anyways, here's a not so short summary of my holiday!

Since I've blogged about Sunday already (Mummy's birthday), let's start with Monday!

Went down to Murdoch area with Aunty Soo and Mummy 'cos Mummy and I wanted to meet up with Jessica to get our mooncakes. But before that, we went to BigW and Canningvale 'cos we had hours and hours to kill haha.

Things at BigW were seriously cheap. We got random stuffs we needed (I just needed snacks like chocolates and mashmallows) and left for Canningvale where we had lunch!

I had a roasted beef turkish roll while the two Mummys had fish and chips. Their fish and chips didn't look too good. I only liked the chips 'cos they were crisp on the outside and soggy on the inside. YUM! My roasted beef was lagi best haha. But the whole turkish roll would've been better if the cheese was MELTED.

Shopped a while at Canningvale (I bought one whole carton of pear juice can! It's good for your throat!) and left for Jessica's place at around 3pm. Got our stuff, had a little chat with her and we left for home.

Tuesday was one of the days I've been looking forward to for SO LONG! 'Cos we went...HYATT! FOR BUFFET!!! WOOHOO!!!!!

Isn't Mummy beautiful beyond words??? =D

Clockwise from left: 1 mussel, 1 oyster stained with the dipping sauce, lemon (you're not supposed to eat that), some...I don't know...lol, squared omelette (!), salad, salad ,salad, prawn. Centre: RAW SALMON!

The salads were a huge disappointment, though. =\

Mummy's and my empty shells. I didn't take the crabs by the way.

Clockwise from top: Royal blue (potatoes la) tossed with olive oil and I-forgot-what, squid stuffed with rice topped with salsa, roasted veal, chicken with spinach and fetta stuffing (that's the crumbed piece), moussaka (They used lamb mince! HEAVENLY!) and mushroom risotto (DE BEST DE BEST!!!!!). The white-ish looking sauce in the middle tasted like CRAP.

Clockwise from top left: deep fried batter with mushroom (don't know the name, really), small ciabatta (I didn't put any stuffings. Just spreaded butter. Equally yum.), some small piece of bread (behind the ciabatta), 1 mussel, 1 oyster stained with dipping sauce, two prawns of which one is stained with dipping sauce, one lemon (again, you're not supposed to eat that) and some quiche that had a distinct onion taste (BAGUS!).

Another type of mushroom risotto, this time with wild arborio rice. The texture was like pulut hitam!

Then came the desserts and I no longer took things in small portions. PILE ON, BABEH!

Top: Sticky date pudding (THAT WAS THE BOMB OF THE MEAL MAN! SERIOUSLY! BETTER THAN JOJO'S!). Bottom: Bread, butter and chocolate pudding (Bleargh. Chocolate too milky.).

THIS was the plate of heaven. Clockwise from left: Princess cake (Swedish), some coconut cake thingy which Mummy and I both didn't fancy (under the princess cake), dark chocolate mud cake (NICE AND RICH! DARK CHOCOLATE ANYTIME!), some peach cake topped with a piece of chocolate (sweet and light =]), creme brulee (Oh boy, I loved the caramel top! Nice and crisp!), some...poppyseed thingy (a tad too sweet ah), bread&butter&chocolate pudding again, raspberry cheesecake (not very good).

Berry trifle!

We still had small shots of jelly. And at the end of this we were both ultimately full already so we rested for a while just to make space for...
Tiramisu. This was the biggest disappointment. ARGH.

Mummy took a chocolate mousse by mistake lol so we shared it and it was hell too sweet so we decided not to take the outer layer of chocolate.

We spent the rest of the day walking around the city before deciding to go home at around 4.40pm after we've digested a bit of the food we ate.

That very night, a few of us from Zion went to Innaloo for movie. Most of us watched Ratatouille (IT WAS REALLY GOOD!) while Mishi, Charles and JoshLau watched Bourne.

Oh ya, the picture lol. It was at the snacks corner. That would've been any kid's dream come true I tell you. Faith and I didn't get any of those lar. We got a small popcorn combo and a packet of caramel popcorn. Yay!

Wednesday morning. Max, Aunty Lucy, Mummy and I went up to Ikea to get bed frames. Also got a few miscellanous stuff. AND I FINALLY GOT MY BALLERINA COOKIES!

That night, a few of us from Zion went for ice skating. I just kept going round and round and round, hoping life would go on the same way, with no obstacles. Didn't join the games, though.

Thursday morning was when I fixed up the bed frame. Spent the rest of the day attempting to study. ATTEMPTING. =P

Friday morning. Went Subi with Aunty Soo and Mummy. Bought our groceries and had LUNCH!

Mummy had the Vietnamese spring roll (nice and healthy!), Aunty Soo had black forest cake (it was a tad too soft and I didn't quite like it) while I had my turkish...uh...I don't know what's it called but it had spicy mince meat, cheese and herbs in there. The Mummys had coffee from the crepe store.

Went over to Woolworths for a while. THE ICE CREAM I WANTED TO BUY ALL THE WHILE WAS ON OFFER BUT MY FREEZER HAD NO MORE SPACE. I was really upset. Really.

Went home and cooked for cell.

Ratatouille! Some ingredients are hidden lol. 'Cos I mounted some on top of another in the bowls. It turned out ok lar but wasn't say a very fantabulous dish. Don't understand why the movie made it look like...I don't know. Lol.

We also had bak kut teh and ice cream for cell. *slurps*

Went for paintball on Saturday morning. I was the ultimate camper who killed people from the back. Haha! Paintballs were just zooming above my head like nobody's business =P. Benefits of being short.

Only got two bruises. One on my left arm, the other just below my right butt. That's nothing compared to those bruises others got! James got scared by the barb wires. Ouch =\.

Everyone was moaning and groaning during service that afternoon lol. Good thing I was doing Pastor assistant heh. Didn't need to run about too much.

Sunday morning was driving lesson. Car jerked a bit here and there heh. Brings back memories HAHA. I miss Daddy =(.

In the afternoon, I went down to Araluen with Aunty Soo and Mummy. Was tough navigating when I was super sleepy. Argh.

Took hell loads of pictures. Walked quite a bit.

Got home at around 4 plus. Cooked pasta.
Can't believe I left out one of the most important ingredient while cooking. It was my first time cooking without recipe, though. Which means, everything by estimation. Mummy said it was up to standard haha! I thought it was nice and light =).

At night, Jeremy helped me with my Java lab in school. Heh, thanks ya! =)

That's about it. Holidays over. Handed in my math assignment yesterday. Test tomorrow. Dead. Will post pictures of paintball and Araluen another time.

BOB THE BUILDER!

Aaaah. Feels so good after fixing up this bed. Took me one hour, with Mummy helping me a little by holding some pieces together for me while i screw, hammer them in place.

Brings me back to the day I first moved in here where my ex-housemate and my ex-neighbour fixed up the beds for us and kept complaining how difficult it was to fix up the beds even with a power drill. HA right. Sweet memories.

Thanks for the memories, even though they weren't so great. It tastes like you, maybe sweeter~

09.09.07

Today's Mummy's birthday!

It all started a week or two ago where Mishi and I were talking about a cell outing and I told her it was Mummy's birthday today and that we could crash the two events together. Then last night I asked Mummy last minute to join us for service today so that we could surprise her.

And so we did!

Bijia got this marvellous cake from a cake shop around our area. I had to rush off immediately after service ended with Max to go get flowers for Mummy. Karawara wasn't open so we had to go to this road-side florist to get the flowers. Thank God they sold champaigne coloured roses.

We only cut and ate the cake during lunch at Spencer Village. Mummy was touched to tears. Literally. =)

Then it was the "cell outing". All the while Mummy thought of it only as a cell outing. But she didn't have the slightest idea Faith, Faith's mum and Wei Xian's mum were coming along as well (actually Mummy nearly found out Faith was going but thank goodness a phone call saved my life lol).

Wanted to go Little Creatures but it was too crowded and the queue was too long and so...
We ended up at The Mussel Bar.

Splendid scenery of Kaili's and Cicerello's.

People who went: Faith, Faith's mum, Wei Xian's mum, Mishi, Wan Ming, Wei Jun (Isaiah), David, Joshua Lau, Mummy and I.

The whole table had lemon, lime and bitters! I think lemon, lime and bitters would be my second favourite soda. I loved this plum soda I tried in Singapore at a place near Old Changi Prison. You guys should go try it out!

I had lamb rack, Mummy had beef fillet (which was really tender for a well done), Joshua Lau had fish n chips (he was like, "fish n chips also want to take photo. ..."), Wei Jun and Faith shared the soft shell crab, Wan Ming and David also shared soft shell crab, and Faith's and Wei Xian's mums ordered fish n chips and soft shell crab. Can't remember who had which. Haha.

The food was splendid. I ate the slowest lol 'cos I had a difficult time ripping the meat off the bone LOL. But it was awesome. I loved the egg thingy that came with the lamb that was shaped like a panna cota. =D

After the meal, Faith and I immediately knew what we wanted for dessert and we had to force (not really) Wei Jun and Joshua Lau to agree with us =D.

Four of us shared a vanilla bean panna cota with chai ice cream and cinammon biscuit which they called fake cinammon stick (my request), a chocolate brownie with hazelnut mousse and vanilla ice cream (Faith's and Joshua Lau's request) and a bailey's creme brulee (Faith's request). The remaining people shared two chocolate brownies.

Dessert was just awesome. I loved all three! Panna cota was yum, brownie was darkish-chocy and hazelnutty and the creme brulee was so bailey's and bailey's is one of my favourite alcohol!

All of us left the place really satisfied. Especially Mummy =).

Talked to Daddy online just a moment ago. I had to actually go "Daddy ah. What date is it today ar?" then he wished Mummy happy birthday. LOL.

Gave Mummy her present (a 3CDs in one pack full of line-dancing songs) and a card. I'm really glad she enjoyed her birthday. She was even going on and on and on about how this is her second time she celebrated her birthday in front of so many people (that are non-family members) before she drifted to sleep soundly.

Thanks, guys, for making Mummy so happy today =). Greatly appreciated!!

MEMORIES.

I love baking sweet potatoes. They're nice, simple and filling. And to top that off, they bring back memories of Daddy baking sweet potatoes for Mummy and I looong time ago. I remember him running out of the kitchen going, "AH! HOT HOT! QUICK! HOT!!!", with the foil-wrapped sweet potatoes in his hands. I call that love. =)

Had another driving lesson today. The car jerked a lot lesser this time. Only stalled once! Yay! But I nearly zoomed red light HAHA. Was paying too much attention on looking for blind spots while changing lane and didn't realise the light changed. Oops. =P

Came back in one piece! Yay! I hope one day driving will feel like the car's part of my body. =)

HAPPY FATHERS' DAY!

TOP 10 THINGS EVERY DAD IN THE WORLD HAS SAID AT LEAST ONCE...

1) Don't ask me, ask your mother!

2) You didn't beat me, I let you win!

3) Call that a haircut?

4) Of course we're not lost. I'm just not sure where we are.

5) I'll tell you why, because I said so that's why!

6) You're going out dressed like THAT?

7) What do you think I am, a bank?

8) Now in my day...

9) Oh for God's sake, where the hell are my @#$%^@ car keys? ...Oh thanks love.

10) Oi that's my chair, now shift yer butt!

I'm sure those sound familiar to you. Haha for me the last one really made sense. 'Cos Daddy has this extra plastic chair his places beside the coffee table and he sits there everyday, rain or shine, watching the stock on tv. And when I decide to sit on that chair...you know what happens. =D

I'm a day late I know (I was studying for my Java test!) but still...

HAPPY FATHERS' DAY, DADDY!!!!!
