FREE ICE CREAM.

HP gave me a coupon. Which entitles me to a free McDonald's ice cream cone.

Mummy, can we fly back to Singapore, redeem the coupon, go to McDonald's to get the free ice cream cone, and fly back again just in time for my stupid exams? *grins from ear to ear*

LOVE.

She can make me feel like slapping/strangling her in a joking/serious way. She can make me laugh till I run out of breath. She can make me ignore her out of impatience (and that normally lasts for only a few minutes). She can make me do silly stuffs with her. She can make me feel really irritated (with her cleanliness or repeated asking of certain questions). But that's not the worst part. The worst part is, she can make me smile and cry at the same time.

"Hi darling,

I know you are under stress on your study, (also housemate problems), you have face the subject you don't like, but darling, think of your future, you have to solve the problems, you have to work hard, study hard in order to get good result, to pass your 1st exam. Mummy alway beside you to support you.

Wherever you go, what ever you do, may you succeed in making your dreams come true.

All the best for your coming exam.

Love
Mummy
22/5/07

*P/s Hope you like this card!"

True, Mummy's english is like...super ca-cated lol but I like it that way! 'Cos I find it cute =). I super love the card. My first ever ballerina card (I think). This goes onto my wall!! (I got this feeling Mummy gave up on my chinese already that's why she wrote in english. Heh.)

Went to the city again with Mummy this afternoon after my computer science tutorial (the freakin' lecturer wasted 15 minutes of my precious time!).
Went to Gelare's. I ordered a large waffle with syrup. No whipped cream, no ice cream. Never tried that before so I decided to give it a try. Mummy had hers without whipped cream but with only-bananas ice cream.

She was going on and on about how 54 was her house number when she was younger and so on and when she finished, I looked into her eyes and went, "My favourite number is still 3." HA I bet she felt like strangling me there and then.

I finished my waffle and Mummy was barely half done. =_=.

1) *cutting*
2) *opens mouth*
3) "Hmm.."
4) "AAAAAH"

Ok that was made up by me lol. These pictures were taken at different times but the coincidence of the sequence is really funny. Mummy didn't like the coffee.

Went to David Jones. Got some towels (I love bath sheets!!) and lip glosses. And because my lip glosses added up to more than A$60 (don't scream at me, thanks), I got a free pouch! The pouch contained MILLIONS of free gifts la can. Gave everything to Mummy except for the mascara and the pouch itself. The pouch is my pencilcase now!

Went to Woolworths. Finally bought my fromage frais. Also bought other miscellaneous stuff. The ride back home was quite...unpleasant.

Went jogging. Re-gained my 10km stamina. Didn't jog last Friday thanks to TWO assignments due on that very day. Only ran 8km on Sunday because after 3km I had stitches but I went on until I hit 4km, couldn't take it, stopped and walked for 2km, and ran another 4km back.

Went over to Mishi's place for coffee just now. At 7.30. PM. Hah. Brought along a slice of my banana chocolate cake for her. Didn't know Marianne was there, if not I could've brought another slice. Gah! I'm sorry, Marrianne!

We shared. She taught. No, it wasn't just another bible study session or discipleship group. We talked about our personal stuff.

Thanks Mishi!!

Felt so much better after that. Appetite boomed once I reached home. Tried the fromage frais. No wonder it's "virtually fat free" as stated in recipe books. The taste of cream was barely there. Strong mango taste.

Also had peach and mango yoghurt. And Cadbury's raisin brunch bar. Woo! Who can resist good food?!

Meeting Wei Xian and Cherrie for lunch tomorrow. AT MATILDA BAY TEA ROOF! FINALLY!!!

Now that I've baked, I want to cook. ARGH! STOP ALL THESE ITCHY FINGERS OF MINE!

Did I mention I burnt my hand while baking? Two spots of cooked meat on my right hand. Steak, anyone?

HABIT.

Every now and then, when I walk home from school, I would see Daddy standing at the balcony, absorbing the sunlight. When I got back from a long walk just this evening, I looked up, and saw no Daddy.

Daddy's on his way home. =(

LOVELY DAY.

DADDY'S HERE!!!! Heh. I'm his source of warmth in this cold weather. He's my source of parental love. I missed him so much! And he's finally here.

Four days may seem short but what's that compared to the months of absence?? I'm so so glad he's here x).

Achievement:
Distance - 10km
Time - 75 mins

Nearly got knocked down by a bike. Both of us, the cyclist and I, were at fault. I didn't give any notice I was turning around. She didn't ring her bell to let me know she's behind.

I've always appreciated cyclists who ring their bells.

MOTHERS' DAY.

Planned to wake up at 10am this morning hah but I forgot my handphone alarm was set to "except Sundays". So I happily slept till 10.50am. Woke up in a shock and quickly went to shower.

Asked Mummy why she didn't wake me up and she said she thought I was really stressed and tired so she didn't want to wake me up. Man, I really love her. Gah she's just so sweet!!

Anyways! We left the house at 11.50am and took bus 24 down to the city. We still couldn't decide where to have brunch so when we got off the bus...
I suggested Pancakes At Carillon! Mummy was more than happy!

There was a queue and we waited quite a bit. Probably close to half an hour. That shows Mummy's eagerness to try out their pancakes haha!

Our drinks came first. Mummy ordered a cup of flat white while I had lemon, lime and bitters. Two thirds of it was gone by the time our food came =_=.

Mummy had pancakes with brandied apricot while I had cream-cheese-filled-crepes with vanilla ice cream and raspberry...sauce? Heh.

LOOK AT THE CREAM CHEESE!!!!!

It totalled up to $35. Totally awesome. Mummy and I left filled and satisfied. Yum!

We then walked around the city. Went to places like Target, Myer, David Jones (just for the toilet =_=), Borders and so on. Checked out the irons, cds (Mummy's looking for line-dance songs so if you guys got any lobangs help me k? Heh thanks!) and cook books. Mummy bought a pair of boots from Myer.

"My most expensive but happiest purchase in Perth," she claimed. Haha!

Also went to a bookshop near Woolies. Had an unpleasant encounter with an old man. Shan't emphasise.

We walked for about three and a half hours and got tired. Java Joe was closed. So we popped by a cafe. Looked at the menu and then at the time. Looked at the menu again and then at the time again. Decided to try going to Tiamo early although the reservation was for 6.30pm.

We got off a couple of stops early on purpose and walked down to Tiamo. Was still early. For a total of half an hour. But they still let us in. Great service!

I ordered a vegetarian ramazzotti. Mushrooms, semi-dried tomatoes, seeded mustard, spinach and white wine cream sauce. With fettucine. Mummy had scallopine alla panna. Scallopines pan-fried with mushroom in a white wine cream sauce, accompanied by roasted gourmet potatoes.

We thought scallopines were scallops. But when I tried them, they tasted like pork to me. Mummy thought they tasted like chicken. =_=.

Mummy in deep concentration! =D

We finished our food (we shared) and decided to take a look at the dessert menu. Mummy didn't find anything she liked so...
I just ordered this cheesecake! I forgot the name. Some...really...complicated name haha. But it tasted really really really good. Just maybe a tad too sweet.

"The cream looks lonely," said Mishi the other time when I also had a cheesecake at Tiamo. =D

Mummy and I walked home together. As we left Tiamo, I asked Mummy if she's happy today. She smiled from ear to ear and said she was very very very happy and enjoyed herself today. I said "I love you, Mummy", we hugged, and continued walking back together, holding hands. It's been so so long since we did that.

When we got home, I placed Mummy's card, letter, and ear studs on her bed.

When she saw them, she teared, hugged me, kissed me and rushed to the toilet =_=. But when she came out, she read the letter. If you guys noticed, the start of the letter was actually a story told by Ps Joyce.

There you go! My ever so pretty Mummy =). I love you, Mummy!!

RANDOM.

A satisfying late lunch before a satisfying movie (SPIDERMAN 3!) on Tuesday (with Francis' cell and Eunice). Yep, one whole chicken finished just by Mummy and I haha. Spiderman 3 was awesome. Although I thought Toby McGuire looked gay throughout the whole movie haha no offence! But then again it could be just because of the character he's acting. Correct me if I'm wrong.

This cheesecake? De-li-cious. Bought from Subiaco yesterday after my haircut. Ate it for breakfast this morning =D.

These are the things you guys MUST try man! The frousse (frozen mousse) was heavenly! Hazelnut latte? I lurrrve hazelnut so that explains it! Butbutbut! It creates a layer of foam when made. Makes me feel like a pro in making coffee! =P

Will blog about Ciao Italia and cell another day. Soon!

LAST WEEKEND.

Last Saturday...went Northbridge with Mummy because Mummy had a craving for Hong Kong BBQ and she wanted to try finding for chinese Mothers' Day cards for Grandma. Walked to the stationary store we usually go to in Northbridge but they didn't sell any chinese Mothers' Day cards. So we left for lunch.

We walked up and down but we couldn't find Shun De. Ended up eating at De Xing haha. Sounds exactly like my name eh. The writing's different, though. De (the first character of Germany in chinese) is the same but Xing is different. Their Xing is happiness I think. My Xin is carnation. =)

Lunch was awesome. Roasted pork was (REALLY) crispy. Char siew was good too. Mummy loved the roasted chicken as well. I personally preferred Hung Kee's roasted duck, though. And I've yet to taste any satisfactory roasted chicken here.

After lunch, we went into the usual bakery and got more chinese pastries. On the way to town, we passed by a gift shop. Mummy stopped by in hope for a chinese Mothers' Day card but there wasn't any in that shop either. So she had no choice but to get an english Mothers' Day card. And I got something special. =)

We then went over to town. Mummy wanted to get her Shiseido products from Myer's but there wasn't any free gifts so she didn't want to buy =_=. Where got like that one?!

We saw a few things on offer so we went up to the electrical appliances level and guess what! Mummy bought a new hairdryer (and got a refund for Woolworths' lousy hairdryer) while I got a food-processor-and-blender-in-one! Mummy's was only...A$19.95? Mine was only A$79.95! Sweet!

Next we moved on to Border's. Mummy got a Sudoku book (With an offer thanks to my coupon!) and I got Mishi a gift card! Yay!

Sat down for coffee in the Gloria Jeans in Border's. I had my usual green tea chiller and a cheesecake (It was awesome!!!) while Mummy had iced mocha. Her usual iced coffee drink as well haha!

Took bus 24 back home. The food-processor-and-blender-in-one was super heavy AND bulky. My arms hurt a great deal after we got home. I washed up a bit and walked to church.

Service was awesome. It really moved me. Speaker was Ps Teresa Tay. I could relate to her pain when she nearly lost her father. For a moment I felt a strong and urgent need to thank God for Greatgrandma. So when Ps Teresa Tay asked people who needed prayers to go down, I went. Had a number of people praying for me, even after service. Thanks guys! =)

Didn't join the gang for dinner. Needed some time to myself. Cooked instant pasta and spent quality time with Mummy. In other words, I shared with her what happened during service.

Had another sumptious breakfast on Sunday morning haha. The one with the letter "M" on it is a yam paste bun. Don't ask me why it had a letter "M" instead of "Y" on it. Haha. Usual green tea bun (yum!) and lao po bing. AWESOME!

But they were so oily!!! Hence the kitchen towels. Heh.

Went IGA with Mummy after breakfast. She wanted to get canned pineapples from Kongs. Got back, Mummy steamed some buns, prepared the pork and LUNCH WAS READY!!!!! Fast huh. Haha!

Went jogging in the afternoon. Jogged 5km, as posted before. Haha. Felt so good.

Dinner was pineapple rice! We used the paste, of course. But we had to buy chicken and pineapples. I cooked! It was gooood. If there were sultanas it would've been much better. But MUMMY doesn't like sultanas. =_= Sian.

When I was about to start on my assignment after dinner, Wei Xian asked if Mishi called me. Just then, I realised I had a miscall but I didn't know who it was from because my callerID was off (thanks to the ever-so-efficient Optus staff from India). So I messaged Mishi to ask if she called me. She called back, said she didn't call but "now that I've called you, you wanna join us for coffee at Tiamo?" How could I say no! I wanted coffee and I wanted to spend time with the birthday girl! =DHad an orange macadamia cheesecake. Cheese wasn't fragrant enough. Mishi had beef. Marianne had lamb. Joshua had pasta. Eunice had bruschetta. Wei Jun had a banana split and a salad. Wei Xian took a bit off everyone haha! That pretty much explained all the people who were there!

Left the place when Tiamo was closed for the day. Weekend well spent!

De Xin does not like jogging in hot weather. 8 kilometres felt like 8 m-i-l-l-i-o-n kilometres. Bad.

Sneak preview: Went Ciao Italia with Mummy, Wei Xian, Wei Xian's brother, sister-in-law and Mother for dinner!

JUST WORSHIP!

Last Friday, cell wasn't just an ordinary cell. True, we had worship, we had words and we had refreshment. BUT we started early, had an informal worship and refreshment during words. AND we celebrated Mishi's birthday in advance. What's more, WE WENT TO REUBEN MORGAN'S JUST WORSHIP CONCERT! WOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

There was a guest! Guess who! MICHAEL BATTERSBY! LOOK AT HIM! AT THE PIANO! ON THE SCREEN! *drools*

There was also REUBEN MORGAN! Obviously haha. He looks much cuter singing. Trust me. *drools x 2* (Oh by the way, you see that drummer in the background of the first picture? He's DAMN cool ok!!!!! I love his drumming skills to bits!)

PART OF THE HILLSONG CHOIR WAS THERE TOO! For some reason, I found the guy at the extreme right of the bottom row very familiar. Hmm.

Ok I'm not emo-crazed. Junie took this picture of me! See how melted I am!!! =D

GOD'S PLAN.

I just finished my breakfast and when I was making my way back to the kitchen, I saw an article that reads "I nearly lost my daughter".

I thought to myself, "Ha! What's that compared to Mummy. Your daughter most probably just merely got some disease or whatnots. Mummy nearly lost me to the devil!"

But almost immediately, I heard a voice saying, "Pick it up. Just pick it up and READ IT."

And so I did. Truely, she was pregnant with an abnormal baby. Then I thought again, "Abnormal only what. You can still have the baby. Mummy REALLY nearly lost me to the devil ok. Like, you know, suicide?"

But as I continued reading, the article mentioned how she continued having faith in Christ, the Lord, how she kept praying, and how a verse stood out the most for her during her pregnancy.

"For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper and not harm you..." Jeremiah 29:11.

When she gave birth, she gave birth to 'a 3.5kg baby girl, 100% healthy, and normal, I stress, normal baby girl: God's precious gift Shenice!'

I felt ashamed of myself. And these three words came to my mind.

Praise the Lord.

IT'S A SIGN!

Things that have been happening: I mistook my physics practice class timing for my economics tutorial timing. In other words, instead of going for my economics tutorial on Wednesday at 4pm and physics practice class on Thursday at 2pm, I went for my physics practice class on WEDNESDAY at 2pm and missed my tutorial at 4pm the very same day.

Only found out that very night. Had to go for a economics tutorial make up on Thursday 1-2pm. Decided to skip my physics practice class at 2pm. No point going hah. Especially when the attendance is normally only..what? 10%?

NEXT, there wasn't supposed to be any physics lab today because of the test held on the Wednesday that just passed. BUT I happily walked all the way to the physics lab today only to realise there's no lab session upon reaching. Had to walk all the way back home again. SIAN.

What's happening to me?!?!?! Is it because of the amount of assignments and mid-sem tests/exam??? Let's count. Ever since Easter break, I've handed in 4 assignments, had one exam and 3 tests. ALL IN THREE WEEKS! I've still got two more assignments (one due next tuesday, another due on the 17th of May) and two more tests (one on the 14th and the other on the 16th). HOW?!

Zion leaders' meeting (ZLM) was good. Learnt lotsa stuff. Was quite depressed, though, because...BECAUSE I just failed a math test (8/20) and I'm destined to fail the physics test I just took two days ago. I'm serious! I only knew like...10% of the paper.

Decided to take a break and went jogging (as said earlier). Which obviously didn't work seeing how I've been mistaking lesson timings. But I do feel a lot fresher these days. Jogged on Wednesday and just now. 4km each. Half an hour per 4km. Need to go further!

ANYWAYS, back to where I was, Max, Wei Jun and I went out for dinner together after ZLM. Well, not exactly together lol 'cos Wei Jun and I went to Fast Ed's to get take away while Max drove down to Debbie's place to return her phone. Wei Jun got burgers and milkshakes for Max and himself. I got a HUGE apple pie. Happy!

Another week's gone by just like that. Which is good! 'Cos it means Singapore's getting nearer! Not distance wise. You know what I mean.

Ok. Cell's in 2 hours' time. We're going to metrochurch tonight! Woo! How cool! Tomorrow...going Northbridge with Mummy again. Icy Ice here I come!

WEEKEND.

There wasn't cell on Friday night so Mishi came pm-ing me on MSN asking if Mummy and I would want to join her (and JoshC) in the city. Before that Mummy and I already had plans to go down to the city and so I happily said yes because the more the merrier!

Went down immediately after my economics paper (I couldn't finish but overall it was still ok so thanks for all the prayers! x]). Met Mishi and JoshC at Samurai but we weren't gonna eat there 'cos Mummy's stomach just recovered.

We went to Woolworths (Woolies) first because we were afraid it'd be closed by the time we finish our dinner. Bought Baileys, Kahlua and Amaretto from the liquor shop. Contented!

Then we walked down to Fu Yuan only to realise it's closed! What happens? Back to plan A! Eat at Chi. Haha.
There you go! Mummy had beef stir fried noodles (I wonder why!) while I had two varieties with noodles. Roast pork and roast duck. Yum!

After dinner was SHOPPING SHOPPING AND MORE SHOPPING! Went to Myers because I wanted to get some stuff from Shiseido but they ran out of stock. Walked around the shoe department and set my eyes on a pair of RED boots. SEXAYE! A$79.95! I'm so gonna save for it!!

Then we went over to David Jone's for my Shiseido products. Got them and went over to Target to get my quilt cover set. Another ballerina set! A$30. Quite expensive but it was already on offer. Original price was like...A$49.99?!

When we started walking around aimlessly, Mishi called. Coffee at Gloria Jeans! GO!

I had green tea chiller. Yum to the max! I got coconut and white chocolate chiller for Mummy. Was kinda...sweet. Heh. I didn't know what to get her!

Mishi rode her scooter back. JoshC, Mummy and I took bus 102 back together.

Made tiramisu on Saturday morning. Only the preparation part haha. The cream had to be frozen. So while it's left to freeze, I got ready and went out for ushering!

Service was good. Holy communion. Pastor Patrick spoke about a call/committment to serve. After service, Boon Wai and I went off immediately for dance service. Went to his house first, though, 'cos he wanted to change/get some stuff.

Saw Genesis. Baha. Funny guy. Left his place and went to Chilliz and Boon Wai got his dinner. My dinner? Chips! =D I wasn't hungry and I didn't want to be too full for dance.

We didn't do much for dance. Maybe not as much as before. Only covered the important parts and rehearsed a few times. Everyone was dead tired! Me included! And Phoebe's so ubber cute! Did I mention how she came up to me and lay on my tummy??? Cute right!!!

After dance, I went over to Jesse's place 'cos he wanted to show me some videos on popping and locking. HIS CATS WERE SO CUTE CAN! I super love Sabrina. The fattest!

Left at around 1am. Got home and finished up on the tiramisu. Only slept at around 2am.

Sunday morning was all so relaxed. Ate the tiramisu I made.

IT WAS GENG OK! GENG! Mummy and Eunice both loved it. Also had half a garlic bread. Was so so so so so bloated at the end. Lunch was fried bee hoon. Even more bloated =_=.

Jesse picked me up for dance. Reached Curtin at around...4.30? Rehearsed three times. Was terrible. BUT everything went well during the service! Praise the Lord!!

MICHAEL BATTERSBY PREACHED! OH MY GOODNESS CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! When people told me how they melted in their chair when he sings, I didn't believe them 'cos I didn't the last time he preached. BUT I MELTED YESTERDAY!!!!! He's soooo awesome! He preached about growing up!

After service, the UWA zone went for dinner together at Uncle Billy's at Northbridge. Superb food. After dinner we had bubble tea. Some went Tea Fusion, some went Utopia, I went Easyway. Heh. Max sent Sharon, Eunice and I home. MAX IS SUPER MEAN CAN! Mean And Xtremelybigandtall indeed!

Sigh. The weekend just ended like this. Today's school was...boring. As usual. Oh wells.
